Finally!! Baby Congo greys!

Baby #caiques are notoriously difficult to feed from day one and over a decade of breeding, I’ve never attempted it. Unfortunately, last week I heard the parents wresting in their nest box, presumably the male was bored and wanted attention 🙄. I had no choice but to pull the egg and incubate! Challenge accepted!

It is important when rearing parent-raised chicks, that your pair is comfortable with you opening their nestbox and seeing/touching their babies. It makes the transition to feeding from a syringe THAT MUCH easier!
