Heat stroke is a medical emergency for dogs and can have serious complications. Some signs of heat stroke in dogs include:
*Excessive panting: The most obvious sign of heat stroke, dogs may pant so hard they foam at the mouth.
*Drooling: Dogs may drool excessively because they are dehydrated and losing fluids quickly.
*Vomiting: Dogs may vomit with or without blood, especially if they are nauseous and haven't eaten.
*Reddened gums: Gums or mucous membranes may appear red.
*Elevated temperature: A dog's temperature may be 104°F or higher
Other signs of heat stroke include:
*Diarrhea, with or without blood
*Disorientation or stumbling
*Weakness or collapse
*Seizures
