We at VCA Cypress Creek would like to send a very bittersweet congratulations to one of our veterinarians on a major upcoming transition.

Dr. Otero has accepted a position at VCA's first and largest hospital, VCA West Los Angeles, in Southern California! There, he will continue to provide general medical services in their hospital's primary care department while working alongside advanced care teams of veterinary specialists and helping to train future generations of veterinarians. Dr. Otero says, "This is a dream job for me - getting to work as both a doctor and a teacher. However, I will so deeply miss the pets and people who have trusted me to be a part of their lives here at The Creek. I appreciate the lessons, laughs, kind words, and snacks that you all have shared with me over the past few years. I will always carry this family and each of my patients in my heart."

Dr. Otero's final day seeing patients at our hospital will be Saturday, December 21st. Thank you for an amazing 2.5 years with us, we will miss you!

Pictured are just some of our Dr. Otero highlights: visiting patients inside kennels, being too excited for surgery, and never turning down pet PDA.

A few of our Atlanta VCA Animal Hospitals are offering a safe and caring home to pets evacuating from Hurricane Milton's path. Please see below for the list of hospitals:

VCA Briarcliff Animal Hospital
VCA Dahlonega Animal Hospital
VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital
VCA Catoosa Animal Hospital

We are offering up to 7 nights of free boarding for pets of evacuees, so pets get the loving care and shelter they need.

We will verify evacuation zone residency upon your arrival (driver's license, etc.). If residency cannot be verified, we can still offer boarding at our regular rates as long as we have availability. We urge anyone who is evacuating to go ahead and get copies of your pets' medical records and vaccine history, as we have to adhere to our boarding vaccination requirements.
