We have boarding available for The July 4th holiday weekend. We do require all boarders to be current on the following vaccines 2 weeks before they board. The required vaccines are:
Rabies, Bordetella, Parvo booster and the Influenza vaccine. This is for the protection of your pet because this is a hospital setting. Give us a call if you need a nice home away from home for your pet.
We will be closed on Thursday, 5/30/24. If you have an emergency please call Carriage Hills @ 334-277-2867. Both of our doctors will be unavailable for the weekend. We will resume our regular business hours on Monday, June 3, 2024. Have a safe and happy weekend.

Research which breed will fit your lifestyle best. Puppies are a huge responsibility and depend on you for training and appropriate care.
Puppy visits to the vet clinic consist of examinations to assess the overall health of your puppy, appropriate vaccines, and intestinal parasite examinations. Vaccinations are integral in the health of your puppy, and are an easy way to prevent many deadly diseases. Please do not take your Christmas puppy out in public or around other animals until they are fully vaccinated! We love to see your healthy puppies and would hate to have to treat them for a life threatening disease that can be prevented with vaccines!
Hello everyone! I am Dr. Dolly the Elf on the Shelf and Santa sent me to Luverne Veterinary Hospital to help educate their pet owners on common problems that vet clinics see this time of year!
Many people ask us if real Christmas trees are a risk to pets in the home. Real Christmas trees can cause GI upset if the tree needles or bark is eaten or the water in the bottom of the tree is ingested. Common clinical signs include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, inappetence, and lethargy. These symptoms should be short lived and not have a lasting affect on the patient, but you should definitely visit your veterinarian if any of these symptoms occur!
