PLEASE DON'T DO THIS! There are better and safe ways!

The first time I saw someone do this I was shocked.
I thought it was a one off, clearly it isn't and social media "influencers" have started to spout this as a "solution".
When I first saw this a few years ago, I could see the skin under the belly twisting and stretching while a lead was tightly pulled up from above.
There was bruising and this dog was certainly in pain.
All because someone wanted a quick way to teach a dog to walk beside them.
Companies even sell carabiners that encourage using this method.
What people may not realise is this can kill a dog.
The belly is not well protected...at all.
The intestines are right there and there are no bones in that area to protect those precious and vital organs.
That constant pressure and squeezing can and DOES cause serious abdominal issues.
PLEASE don't be tempted to follow this trend if you have seen it on social media.

We are back at the Doggie Playroom🐾❤️
Does your dog pull on the walk? Jump all over your guests? Maybe they have some fear or aggression? Maybe they just need a refresher with some basic obedience. We can help!
Classes will be every Wednesday at 6:30pm and each class lasts about 45 min. The 16th is orientation just the owners that night we go over all you will learn, answer any questions and payment is due cash or check. The dogs start the following week. The whole family is welcome to attend.

Come join us tonight at The Gorge Eatery along with Dianne Altieri from Keller Williams Real Estate for Yappy Hour.

Rumor has it their Cheese Curds and French Fries are off the hook (shhh I may just go there for them 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️)

Any alcohol drinks purchased on the patio during this time The Gorge will donate a portion to the rescue.

We will also have a dog or two there looking for homes!!!!!

Revere Brewery is hosting this great event and raffling off a SWAG BAG, Mannered Mutts Dog Training is on hand for all your training needs, free dog training advice, demos, raffling off some swag and a free 5 week training session, Lindell Berg will be there with PermaLinx Jewelry and Clearly Candid Canines is raffling off a free photo session for your pooch! Lots of cool stuff, don't miss it. We can't forget the The Grill Reaper LLC will be there making some awesome burgers! A portion of the proceeds from the evening are gong to the Carbon County Animal Shelter PA and Angie's Cat Rescue

We know times are tough and keeping our pups fed is important. MMDT is doing a FREE DOG FOOD GIVEAWAY. Rescues and individuals welcome. Just show up and grab a bag or two between 6pm and 8pm 197 N. 6th Street Lehighton. Various size bags of dry are available.
You do not have to be from a rescue or shelter, everyone is welcome.

Orientation is the 10th no dogs for that just the owners we go over all you will learn, answer any questions and payment is due cash or check. Discounts for veterans, multiple dog families and also when you bring a friend you both get a discount!
