This is Liv with her dog Freyja working "Spins" into her "Heel". Adding "Spins" into "Heel" can be difficult, so we are very proud of both Liv and Freyja for mastering this technique! Well done y'all!!
Heel with spin
In this video I am demonstrating how to use a Lure to add "Spins" to "Heel". We like to teach this for several reasons: "Spin" is fun for the dog, it helps to maintain engagement with the dog and lastly, because it is fun for the human, lol.
In the next video you can see Freyja working this with her human Liv.
Recall Practice
A quick clip of practicing recall off of the TONE function of the E-Collar. E-Collers are a great way to allow your dog to have more freedom. However, it's important that you train your dog on the e-collar before using it. If you're interested in getting your dog e-collar trained, shoot us a text or give us a call. We'd be happy to help you out.
Miss Tootie helped me demonstrate a quick and easy way that you can work on impulse control and "bolting". This technique is a great way to bring some structure to your dog's daily life while also strengthening basic obedience.
Combining Play and Training
This is a quick video of little Tootie helping me demonstrate one way to build up your relationship and engagement with your dog. Notice how I keep my voice fairly high when giving her praise as well as how often I give her praise. That excitement is important. Dogs really respond to us getting excited. It's a great way to increase the likelihood of the behavior being shown again.
This is the FIRST THING you want to teach your dog. "Yes!" Work can be used in so many different ways, such as basic obedience training, leash pulling, reactivity and so much more.
Thank you all for braving the weather this weekend to join us for our Pack Walks.
Lucy wanted to show all her pack walk friends how good she is at running on hay bales! Lol
