Fun weekend at HRKC! We took Sylvie entered in weight pull and conformation, River entered in WP, Conformation and nosework, Jess entered in WP. I am so proud of every one of them!

Sylvie won breed 5 of the 6 shows with three Group 3 and two group 4 in a lovely line-up of gun dogs. She earned 125 points towards her WP Elite Champion title as well as THREE "Most Weight Pulled Per Body Pounds" in the "B" division. First time shes pulled that off. "B" division is tough. She earned Three "Total Dog" awards for the weekend.

River had some steep competition in the Grand class as well as the rest of the breed. He won the grand class and Best of Breed for one emerald leg. Three Reserve Grand Champion wins. He was entered in two nosework runs and qualified in both. With q's in all the novice elements hes earned his NN (nosework novice) title. This was his first try at weight pull. He had three qualifying pulls for his UWP title and earned points towards his champion title. He also earned three Total Dog awards this weekend.

Jess normally comes along for the ride, but this time we decided to bring him out of retirement and get the three pulls he needed to end his career with ONE HUNDRED pulls and an AP10. Since he has already earned the highest weight pull title, we arent working for points, so he only had to pull 10 times his body weight which is pretty easy for him. He did it in 4 seconds. Lol. Jess will be 10 in February.

Thank you, THANK you to all the judges who pointed to our dogs in the conformation ring, as well as those who judged performance. Thank you club for all of your hard work. As always thanks to my amazing husband who handles the dogs in weight pull and makes everything happen, thank you to Grace for handling River when he and Sylvie were in the ring together, and thank you Cindy and Randy for feeding us and just being the best friends and show buddies.

Weather was fabulous. Hanging with friends and dogs amazing. Camping was fun. It was just a great weekend!

JuJu's adorable head tilt when im reading her mind. 😄❤️

She, Ivy, Fallon and Sylvie all had their yearly physicals. All are well except Sylvie who wont stop licking a scratch on her foot. I love when the vet compliments our ears and teeth!

Although we've never attended this event, we are very proud and happy to have earned an invitation to the UKC Total Dog Invitational.

Also pretty tickled that both River and Sylvie are on the top 10 at the moment. Sylvie is also on the Group Top 10.

We enjoyed some Fallon time this week. She lives in an amazing guardian home with Melissa, and came over for a grooming and pre-breeding vet visit. We are hoping to announce a fallon litter soon. Pre- arrival slots are full, but once puppies arrive and we know how many we have there will likely be spots available. We also are planning 2026 litters with a couple other girls.

We had a fun time at Fast Cat in Lynchburg today! We do have day of entries so come on out to the Boonsboro Ruitan on Coffee Road Saturday and/or Sunday to have some fun with your dog(s)! Two trials each day.

This was Rivers first Fast Cat. Sylvie is earning points for DCAT. Both did well, no pics today tho.

Also there were Grace and Salesi with Iris and Opal. And Kelli with Rowan the Service Poodle. They all did great and each got 2 qualifying runs.

Doing some hunt training with Sylvie and River today. This was the first time using the actual bird smell and River, the fetch crazy monster, was a little unsure about it. Practice. Hes getting groomed today and he'll also do better when I get his hair out of his eyes. 😊

We made it through that crazy August! Lol.

We had a 3 day UKC show, a 3 day AKC show, a 2 day AKC , and a 4 day UKC show including the UPA poodle specialty.

River got one more point towards his AKC champion title in Greensboro NC. Still chasing singles. We'll do limited shows for awhile while he grows out coat.

Big thanks to Kaet for showing Sylvie in the UPA specialty! As secretary i couldn't handle her myself. They looked great together but no love in the huge grand class

Sylvie was only entered in 3 shows all weekend. She won Breed over about 25 lovely multicolored poodles under the wonderful Judge Kathy Russell.

She also pulled her max in 5 weight pull trials. A qualifying pull is only 8 times their body weight which is fairly easy to accomplish if the dog is interested in pulling at all. Sylvie is earning points for the highest weight pull title now. In the "B" division a dog cant pull more than 35 times their body weight, so 41 pound Sylvie pulled 32 blocks or 1,480 lbs at each pull earning 150 points towards the Elite title. She should finish the final weight pull title at our next show. Having that and her diamond title (which shes actually earned twice with 10 diamond points), and having been on the top 10 for 3 years, we'll retire her this year so she can give us some fabulous puppies next year. It has been a huge honor to show this beautiful girl. Im going to miss it but it was a super fun ride ill always treasure.

Oh- I am looking into hunt training and testing for Sylvie and maybe juju. My two sporty girls. ❤️

River came along for the ride. ❤️❤️

We had a busy fun weekend at the Rappahannock Hound Club show this past weekend.

It was an Altered Invitational, and although Scarlett was on the list, shes shaved down so she didnt come.

Sylvie and River were entered in 5 conformation shows each, and both ran precision, Dash and Steeplechase.

There was quite a bit of multi competition. 8 the first day and around 13-14 Saturday and Sunday. Sylvie won the Grand class 4/5 shows, Breed 3/5 shows. So many thanks to all of the judges who chose our sweet girl, Nancy Gallant, Patricia Till, Jennifer Landers, and Joao Macado.

She also qualified in 4 Precision coursing runs, 4 DASH runs and 4 Steeplechase runs earning her HOP title and one Total Dog award.

River had a lot of mature competition in the Grand class and got no love at all.

He did qualify in all 12 of his coursing runs and earned the precision novice title- RACEN, a Dash title- Dash, and a Steeplechase title-HOP.

Also there were Jayna and Sophia with Noodles (Ivy x Machete), and Saucy (Willow X Dunder). They were only there Saturday but Saucy did earn a nice Champion class win and best of winners for 1 comp win and 25 points.

Rachel was there with Freddie (Willow X Dunder) for two shows and won reserve in his class.

Thank you club, volunteers, and friends for making it a fun weekend. And so many thanks to our friends Cindy and Randy wo helped us get ourselves, our dogs, and camper home when our car broke down. We're so blessed to have such wonderful friends!!

There is some availability in this beautiful litter out of Firefly and our brindle boy, Hobbes, owned, trained and handled by Marguerite Plank. Hes a full brother to Sylvie.

We had a fabulous time at the FLAEDA show last weekend. Its a well run show with great people! ❤️

Sylvie won 2 group 1 and a group 3. Thank you judges Danielle Madore, Tami Hayden and Nina Marie Sherrer! She was also BEST IN SHOW under the wonderful judge Tami Hayden!

River's first show in his big boy haircut, he won Best of Breed group 1 under Janet Emery, and Best of Breed under Nina Marie Sherrer. He was reserve grand champion twice. Thank you judges for choosing our puppy!
