Animal Emergency & Critical is hiring licensed veterinary technicians to fill both part time and full time positions!

Whether you wish to jump start your career, are seeking a variable and exciting medicine scene, or are currently being under-utilized, we would love to talk to you! No prior emergency experience needed.

AECC is proud to offer an incentivized staff culture, team-oriented management style, and a generous benefits package. Our competitive and transparent pay band ranges from $20-33/hr; up to $40/hr with VTS.

Candidates must be available for nights, weekends, and holiday hours. An associate degree in veterinary technology and state licensure is required to be eligible for the $2,000 sign on bonus (potential relocation bonus also available).

Morgan (on the left) has been with AECC a few months and is already progressing and absorbing knowledge like a sponge. She is like a breath of fresh air and wants to be involved in all aspects of emergency medicine. Maya is also a newly hired student LVT. She will be graduating from tech school in a few months and then she is eligible to sit for the national exam all future LVTs in Virginia have to sit for. She loves everything about wildlife and conservation. Maya is hardworking and quick on her feet in the hospital. We as LVTs take an oath to save lives and do no harm. We stand by the oath. We live for the medicine and pressure the emergency room brings. We are professional and compassionate and will stand by you during the most difficult of times with your pets health. We all have that one patient that reminds us as to why we took the oath to go into veterinary medicine and they also remind us why we are here! Thank you to all LVTs for what you do. Lindsey is a new LVT here at AECC. She is quickly learning the ropes of emergency medicine. She loves and care for all the patients coming into the clinic. She strives for gold standard care. She spends her free time with her wonderful blue heeler Tyrion and German shepherd elk hound Shaggy. Both of her wonderful pups are blood donors her at the clinic and have already saved multiple lives. Thank you Lindsey for all you do! 🧡🐶🐾🐈

Haley is planning on enrolling in tech school to become an LVT in the near future. She spends her free time away from work hiking with her two golden retrievers. Stacie is another one of our fabulous student LVT's. In her picture she is sitting on the floor with one of her favorite patients, Baylor. Stacie assisted with multiple critical overnight surgeries on Baylor and helped him through to a full recovery. In emergency medicine we don't always get to build the life-long bond to our patients and clients like a daytime practice does, but that doesn't mean we care for these sweet babies any less. From sitting in the floor with them, to extra blankets in their run, to adding stuffed animals in thier ICU incubator- our team is honored to provide the extra love needed to help them feel better while in our care. Thank you Stacie for all you do!🥰🐕🐾

Katie sue is also a veteran LVT here are AECC. She took a little time off from emergency medicine but now she is back in full force for more! Katie sue is truly amazing with clients as she takes the time to comfort them in a crisis or answer questions they have about their pet staying in the hospital. Katie sue loves talking to her patients as if they were having a small conversation together. We find that this is soothing to the patients and gives them a little extra one on one time. When calling the clinic on the weekends you probably have talked to Jena. She is amazing with clients and loves to educate them in all types of scenarios. She remains calm under pressure and gets patients to the treatment area for the doctors to see during a true emergency. In her time away from work Jena also is a groomer as you can see her personal dog Mo has the cutest Mo hawk. Thank you for all you do Jena! 🧡🐶🐈🐾
