Sunday has been in the shelter for 104 days...and she's barely over 1 year old! Someone take this sweet girl home - she deserves it and so do you!
This girl is good with kids, most other dogs, but hasn't been cat tested quite yet! We will update that here within the next day! A family (furry included) meet & greet is always encouraged!

Tubs is, what we think, a Fox Hound/Lab mix whose journey to the shelter began in February 2024 at a popular dumping area, the Coal Road right here in Lyndhurst. Tubs has never lived inside, except here at the shelter, which is never ideal. While okay with other dogs, a meet & greet with any current pets would be a solid plan; but we recommend a home with no cats. Kids 12+ who can handle his jumpy nature and occasional overexcitement should be just fine!
Tubs needs some obedience training, but once he finds himself a soft bed next to a toasty fireplace on a winter evening, it will be worth your while! He's a total sweetheart, not to mention independent & easy-going. He could be yours TODAY!

โขKeep your animals INDOORS in a safe, quiet environment. Consider keeping them in a separate, closed room with all of their favorite toys and necessities, checking on them often!
โขMake sure ALL of yours doors are safely closed tightly and locked if/when you leave the house.
โขEnsure that all of your animals have some form of ID on them: microchip, tags, collar, bandana, SOMETHING (go do it....NOW!)
โขMake sure everyone in your household is on the same page with keeping your pets safe & at ease.
โขCreate a back-up plan:
โขโขโขHave current & clear images of your pets ready
โขโขโขCreate a short, descriptive bio to include on social media or flyers
(including: name, breed, color, age, gender, cautions)
โขโขโขMake sure your friends & neighbors can identify your pets
๐๐ฝDON'T....
โขBring your animals with you to any outdoor firework shows where they are likely to be afraid of the loud noises, flashing lights, burning, etc.
โขLeave them in an open environment where any escape route is possible, even a fenced-in yard. Scared animals will do a range of things outside of their normal "personality" to escape if they sense danger: jumping fences, escaping collars and leads, digging holes, climbing walls, etc.
โขLeave them in a hot car, even with the windows down! It's state law!
Our pets are family, right? Keep them safe WHILE you have fun!
