Since Rhyme likes to dump her grain, no matter what the container, I had to get creative. This has lasted the longest so I consider it Rhyme-proofed.

Another day just chilling. Had the Fair Vet stop by this morning just to give Rhyme a checkup since she was a little off yesterday. Clean bill of health! She's much perkier today and the B Complex from yesterday has her appetite back.

Don't have an obligatory dash photo from Sunday cause I forgot, but we did get 2 firsts out of 3 judges and went on to get a Reserve Grand under 1. A day and a half at home and right back at it. Rhyme and I are in Elkhorn,WI all this week for the Walworth County Fair. If you're in the area stop by and see us.

Back out on the show trail. The girls and I are in West Allis, WI at Wisconsin State Fair through Sunday. I'll be helping with milk demos on Dairy Lane tonight at 5 and Sunday at noon and 2, as well as showing Rhyme and Tulsa in between.

Me and Pheonix taking it easy this evening. Rhyme was the only Oberhasli here at the show, but the judge had very nice things to say about her. We didn't 'earn' our Champion ribbons today but we did represent for the Obers.

I didn't get a picture unfortunately, but when I left the house this morning at 4:15 and got to the barnyard gate I looked out towards the front of the goat shed. I had left a wheelbarrow with hay in front of a pen for some goats to eat off. Well here is Rhyme curled up on the hay in the wheelbarrow. I guess she decided that sleeping out under the stars on the hay was nicer than her pen. Of course as soon as she saw me she got up so no chance of a photo. I love my goofy girl!!

So I judged my first County Fair Dairy Goat Show yesterday in Jefferson County. I had an awesome time and as far as I can tell I did a good job. I want to say thank you to everyone who helped to get me there this week. Jim Hosmer my other half for supporting me and watching the farm while I was gone, Kenneth Fry for helping me with my brake pad emergency, Clare Heberlein and her kids for helping me prep and my cousin Crystal Weimer Kropf and her husband Travis Kropf for letting me crash at their house so I didn't have to drive 3 hours at the butt-crack of dawn.
