Lyons Veterinary Clinic is a mixed animal practice located in Lyons, KS. LVC is owned by Dr. Scott Randolph and Dr. Debra Zwick-Randolph of Ark Veterinary Clinic in Sterling, KS. We offer both large and small animal services including surgery and medicine, preventative care, herd health consults, ultrasonography and radiography, pregnancy testing, boarding, and grooming among other things. We also

work with Friends of Animals and actively adopt out dogs and cats in this program. We are happy to provide these services to our community and always enjoy working with both new and established clients.

Meet Smalls, Spanky and Twixie, they are now up for adoption through our clinic. They're longhair, and about 2 1/2 months old. Twixie is female, and Smalls and Spanky are male.
Adoption fee: $150 for 1, $200 for 2, $225 for 3.

Our 50% off Spay and Neuter special for the month of July was a huge success! We performed 100 cat and dog spays and neuters that were discounted, saving our clients over $5,500!! A big shout out to our entire squad for working extra hard during the month to accomplish this... to Ashley our office manager for handling all the extra paperwork and keeping the front desk moving smoothly with lots of extra pets in and out; to our Vet Techs, Kayley, Jayden, and Annette, who had lots of surgery packs to clean and sterilize and an abundance of pets to monitor before, during, and after surgery; to Raylene our Kennel Tech, who had to keep up with all the extra laundry and make sure all your pets were well cared for during their hospital stay; and finally to our Vets, Dr. Scott and Dr. Shynia, who literally performed double the amount of surgeries each day that we normally would perform and still managed to see all our other patients for whatever ailments they needed to be seen for! Hopefully July of 2025 will prove to be even better!

Yippee🥳🎉🎉🎉
We have reached our goal amount to be able to submit our 501(c)(3) paperwork!!!

We are still a LONG. ways away from reaching our goal to OFFICIALLY conduct our first TNR group project and begin fixing community cats around the area! We are needing a MINIMUM of $1500 just for the procedures. This excludes traps and supplies to keep the cats comfortable during recovery.

We have now put out donation boxes at both Lyons Veterinary Clinic and Ark Veterinary Clinic for those who are interested in making cash donations!

We are still trying to lift this organization off the group and get it up and running smoothly ,but that cannot be done without YOU! We have been working hard behind the scenes on future fundraising events and applying for grants now that we’ve reached our 501(C)(3)goal. If you are unable to donate, please share with those you know! We are looking forward to being able to start helping our community cats live healthier, happier lives💖🐱

Please spay and neuter. Support a TNR (trap, neuter, release) program. Friends of Animals Rice County provides spay/neuter assistance, whether it is your personal pet or a stray you are feeding. An assistance application can be filled out at Lyons Veterinary Clinic or Ark Veterinary Clinic.

Donations to the Friends of Animals Rice County spay/neuter fund will help us continue this assistance.

🎄Our Christmas Adoption Special ends this Friday🎄 We're down to these two females, roughly 9 weeks old now, lab/mix. Their current adoption fee is $100, which does include their spay. If you bring them back within 4 months, when they're old enough to get spayed, you'll receive a $50 credit towards your account.

We're down to 2 female pups left for adoption. They're definitely starting to come out of their shell! Adoption fee is $100, please contact us directly if interested.

UPDATE: we're now down to 2, the brown male has been adopted! These 3 cuties are still up for adoption! They're lab/mix, roughly 8 weeks old. The black one is a female, the darker brown one is female, and the lighter brown one is male. Their adoption fee is $100, which includes the spay/neuter. If you bring them back within 4 months of adoption, you'll get a $50 credit towards your account! If interested, please contact us directly!

UPDATE: the parakeets have found a home! The 2 blue parakeets are still available, free to a good home. They love to chatter with each other. If interested, please give us a call, and we can set up a meet and greet!

This young heifer stayed with us for 52 days to undergo daily treatment for a severe leg injury, that involved bone exposure on both sides of the leg. Today, she was able to go home!! 🐮💖

Fun-loving Claire!

All 5 kittens were spayed/neutered yesterday, so they're ready to go to their furever homes! The adoption fee is $72 each, which includes the spay/neuter, a dose of Revolution Plus (already done), and rabies vaccination. Binxie (all black), Lucille (medium-hair tiger), Silver (gray stripe), and Simba (short-hair tiger), are still up for adoption. Let us know if you'd like a meet and greet!

Simba is very playful! Whether he's in between his siblings, or in his own little world, he always finds a way to entertain himself. If you'd like a meet and greet, brace yourself, he'll steal your heart immediately!

Sweet Binxie girl has really come out of her shell the last couple of weeks. She enjoys playing with her sisters and brothers, but really loves cuddling up with people. Let us know if you'd like a meet and greet with her, she'll steal your heart in a matter of seconds!

UPDATE: Sly had been claimed!! Mr. Sylvester "Sly", has been the most rambunctious kitten out of the litter since day one! There's never a dull moment when he's out and about. When he gets tuckered out, he very much likes to be in the middle of the nap pile. Let us know if you'd like a meet and greet with Sly, he'll definitely put a smile on your face!

Lucille was the smallest, and most shy, out of the litter when they were brought in at 6 weeks old. She's really started to find her personality over the last couple of weeks, and she's very much a cuddle bug 💕 If you'd like a meet and greet with little miss Lucille, let us know, she'd love to meet you!

Schedule an appointment so we can evaluate your dog for pre-existing conditions as well as currently prescribed medications that may interfere with NSAID pain management such as METACAM® (meloxicam oral suspension) that should be avoided. NSAIDs including METACAM may be associated with gastrointestinal, kidney, or liver side effects. Do not use METACAM oral suspension in cats.
