A bjt ago, we shared the news of Tres Fortunes, and his injury while at Cinder Lakes Facility in 2023, which necessitated a shift to ICSI breeding for the current 2024 season. Today, we are pleased to give you all an exciting update.

Through the exceptional care, expertise and guidance from some of the top professionals in the industry, Tres Fortunes has not only met but exceeded our recovery expectations.

🎉 With his remarkable progress, we are pleased to announce a very limited offering of "on-site" breeding contracts for this season. This initiative is our way of accommodating as many of our mare owners as possible, while still prioritizing the well-being of Tres Fortunes. It is of utmost importance to us to ensure that we do not place undue strain on him, safeguarding his best interests not only for this breeding season but for his future.

Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage our dedicated mare owners to act promptly to secure their place.

LIGHT CATTLE CO QUARTER HORSES IS HIRING

Our ranch stands our own stallions to the public and foals out all of our own mares. We need someone who shares our passion for horses and this industry.
This is a full time position.
Housing is provided.
This is not a riding position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Feeding and grooming horses, managing turnouts, and ensuring their general well-being.
• Cleaning stalls regularly to ensure a healthy environment for our horses
• Working with weanlings, including halter breaking and general handling.
• Administering medication as required and monitoring horse health.
• Assisting in handling stallions and ensuring safe interaction.
• Performing various general ranch duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in horse care and handling.
• Knowledge of equine health and safety practices.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to animal welfare.
• A team player with good communication skills.
