Life is busy. Few humans have the time and energy to take their dogs to the park.

Now offering pickup hiking and dog park services.

Exercise and socialization are crucial to a dog's overall well-being. The lack of such fulfillment is often the root cause of our least favorite behaviors. Whatever your situation, it can be hard to make time to take your dogs out.

Meeting your pets needs just got a lot easier. The process is simple. Send me a message to schedule your first service. I will arrive at your home to pick up and take your fur baby hiking or to the dog park. While in my care, your dog will receive light training to perfect skills like appropriate play and trail etiquette.

Tuck is too respectful of small animals to really go after the rats. Very pleased with his manners and gentle nature. Such a kind heart! Our instructor immediately fell in love with him. He's really one of a kind.

Let's talk about off leash manners.

I don't expect absolute focus out of my dogs for the duration of our adventures.

Read that again, and let's talk about it.

Dogs are sensory driven creatures. They experience the world through a number of senses, including but not limited to sight, smell, and hearing. These three basic functions are integral to the dog's sense of security. Especially away from home.

While I do ask for active cooperation, I do not expect my dogs to defy their nature. They can still be active participants while maintaining awareness of their environment. My personal dog, Tuck, is a great example. He is incredibly responsive, and heeds to my requests. You will still see him looking around, you will still see him sniffing, you will still watch noises catch his attention. Never once does this interfere with his ability to be safe off leash.

It's time to stop asking your DOGS not to be dogs.

Tuck playing around with some of the equipment I made this week. What an awesome little dog!

We're going to be getting into barn hunt, and he has no experience with the tunnel. I figured I'd make one with the pallet wood I had just brought home. So far so good!

I haven't decided who I will be taking to classes with me, Tuck or Bro. Updates to come.

Tuck was made with a heart of gold. This boy is compassionate, wildly intelligent, and a born comedian. From excellence in therapy dog work, to earning his CGCs and FDC, he's proven to be reliable and kind hearted. I cannot express my gratitude enough for his partnership and life.

Jillian and Cecilia's first session was a success! From antsy and impulsive to collected and relaxed. Due to her drive, smarts, and speed, I see a lot of potential in Cece the pitbull/chihuaha.

Broly cooling off from his first session with some foraging practice in the snuffle mat. A happy dog is a thinking dog!

The first stage of training is an exciting one, however from a viewer's perspective it may not look like much. This afternoon Broly learned to sit, stay, place, come, and touch. At first, he struggled to understand what was being asked of him, but through a little patience and persistence he grew more familiar. He gave me his undivided attention, and had a great time deciphering my cues. I see a lot of potential in this handsome guy!
