We just picked up this dog on E 1600th st just east of Macomb and south of John Deere. There were no tags or microchip.

A young, deceased, tan & black tabby cat (under a year old), was brought to the shelter this morning. It was found on South Clay Street just west of McDonalds-West drive thru. It was not microchipped.

2 more dogs left at the shelter lastnight with no information left with them. We are in desperate need of adoptions or fosters we are simply out of space for dogs and out of options.

Hello! With Veterans Day approaching, we wanted to remind everyone that veterans can have 100% of their adoption fees waived. To qualify, veterans must present a valid drivers license, illinois identification card, or illinois person with a disability identification card with the word "veteran" printed on it. All eligible applicants will still need to go through our normal adoption procedure to be approved. Please spread the word and let us help some local veterans get a companion.

Please for the time being avoid coming down E Tower rd. The fire dept is currently working on putting out a brush fire at the city yard waste and will have the road blocked temporarily to access a fire hydrant. Thank you for understanding.

2 dogs left at the shelter lastnight. The white dog was left with no information. The brown and white dog was brought in from bushnell. If anyone recognizes them please let us know. We now have no empty kennels for anymore dogs at the shelter.
