UPDATE: Bruce has been adopted!!!

Bruce! (Named after the shark in Jaws because he came to us with a broken jaw.) He’s been with is for a few months and is all healed. He will be going to Pet Supplies Plus soon to get more exposure and a home. He’s neutered, current on vaccines, and a bit plump from his stay with us! Another All Pets Fay farm success :)

Update: owner was found. Running at large. Picked up on Lafayette. Male not neutered. No microchip. Claim at All Pets Wednesday morning. Will be transferred to the shelter after that.

Still available for adoption…. Bruce and Lou. Both are neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and ready to go. (See previous posts for more details).

So you want a kitten? Just consider these guys are like ordering the ”super size” kitten package. They are kitten upgrades! Both are only 1-2 years old, use a litter box and have enough manners to not drive you crazy!

It’s that time… McDonough County rabies registration is due February 15th. Get it done! (Keep reading for new information for 2025.)

1. Registration is required for dogs AND cats this year. This is a state law that is just catching up to our county. Don’t shoot the messenger!

2. They are doing 3 year tags AND 1 year tags now. A 3 year tag is cheaper than three one year tags!

3. Don’t blow off the deadline. Yes, The county will fine you and drag you to court.

4. We’ve been told there is a slight extension this year due to the 15th falling in a weekend and the Monday holiday. But really, you should just do it by the 15th.

5. Please don’t yell at us. We do not make the rules. The deadline is the same every year and yet we will have a handful of people yelling at us when they can’t get in for a rabies vaccination appointment they try to make on February 13, 14, or 15. Please call ASAP. And thank you for being nice! (Not nice people will be sent home with a free feral cat.)

Mr. Bruce still needs a home! He came to us missing a hunk of his lip and with a nasty infected jaw fracture. We took out his wires yesterday. It’s healed beautifully! He’s gained 4 pounds (another smashing success at the All Pets fat camp… kidding) and all of our hearts but it’s time for him to have a real home. Call the clinic if you’re interested. Neutered, FeLV, FIV negative, dewormed, and vaccinated.

Meet Mr. Bruce! Bruce came to us with a rotten jaw fracture that is healing well. We have also plumped him up during his stay. He is vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, and FelV/ FIV negative. He loves to make biscuits and is a sweetheart. If you’re interested in adopting call the clinic. (New year! New kitty!)

Meet Mr. Lou! He came to us with a massive, rotten wound on his neck that is just about healed. We’ve spent the last few months fixing him up (and plumping him up lol) and he’s just about ready for a new home. He is vaccinated, dewormed, and neutered but he is FIV positive. UPDATE: Zinc is outta here!!!! He has a home!!!!! (I miss him already!).

This is Zinc! Zinc was not doing well at the shelter. He was happy and playful and would eat but he just couldn’t gain weight. So we kitten-napped and brought him to the All Pets fat farm. Zinc is now gaining like a champion and might be a bit plump. He’s neutered, dewormed,vaccinated and needs a home. If you want to visit come by the clinic but he will need to be adopted through the shelter.
