🌟IMPORTANT MICROCHIP NOTICE! ⭐️

A common microchip brand, Save This Life, has gone out of business, and pets listed on Save This Life’s pet registry were delisted from the American Animal Hospital Association’s national database.

At Animal Medical Center, we have never used the microchip brand Save This Life, we use the brand HomeAgain, but we’re sharing this information because you (or someone you know) may have a pet that was microchipped before you brought him or her into your family.

We strongly recommend checking your pet’s microchip registration and updating your contact information periodically.

If you don’t have your furry friend’s microchip number, or you believe their microchip is registered with Save This Life and you need to reregister it, will be happy to help you—call us at 309-833-5960.

🗓️🐶🐱Reminder: 2025 Dog and Cat Registration Tags are now available at the McDonough County Treasurers Office

To register your dog(s) and/or cat(s) you must present a valid rabies vaccination certificate for each dog or cat, and if applicable, proof of spay or neuter along with the required registration fee to the McDonough County Treasurers Office.

If you’re in need of this paperwork for your furry friend or you believe they may be due for a rabies booster shot, please contact us at Animal Medical Center at 309-833-5960.

Dog Registration Fees:

Sterilized dog with 1-year registration: $15

Sterilized dog with 3-year registration with a 3-year rabies vaccination: $40

Unsterilized dog with 1-year registration: $25

Unsterilized dog with 3-year registration with a 3-year rabies vaccination: $70

Cat Registration Fees:

Sterilized cat with 1-year registration: $10

Sterilized cat with 3-year registration with a 3-year rabies vaccination: $25
