Lloyd's Lovely Ladies is a holistic homestead filled with beautiful, healthy, and very spoiled chickens and turkeys. We are also a poultry rescue for Cornish X chickens and broad breasted turkeys. Our birds are free-ranged and raised organically & holistically. They consume an organic and soy-free feed and organic

vegetables and fruit to supplement their full-time foraging. They LOVE mealworm treats! Our girls are not vegetarians. Chickens and turkeys are omnivores and natural hunters. They consume bugs, insects, grubs, lizards, and even mice! All water our birds receive is from food-grade FDA certified hoses. We raise our birds from chicks to ensure they are never exposed to medicine, medicated feeds, GMOs, or chemicals. We also feed supplemental herbs, spices, and seeds to protect our girls from internal parasite overload and to boost their immune system. We utilize cayenne pepper, ginger, turmeric, garlic, oregano, basil, squash seeds, and more! We never ever expose our birds to artificial light to increase egg production. We allow our girls to take advantage of their natural seasonal rest period from laying. This helps to protect their reproductive organs from disease and cancer. Our layer hens lay delicious and healthful eggs. The yolks are rich and flavorful and filled with an abundance of vital nutrients and anti-inflammatory fats. Eggs are available at various times throughout the year. We occasionally have chicks available as well! Our rescues are spoiled with special care, a special diet, supplements, and daily exercise. They are given sanctuary on our property for the remainder of their days. We never take the life of our animals.

New babies for 2023! We got Ameraucanas, Olive Eggers, Buff Orpingtons, an Australorp, and Rhode Island Blues. I am disappointed that my "pullet" Ameraucanas are both roosters! Thankfully, they are the friendliest roosters I have ever experienced. They better stay that way or bye-bye roo roos.

Our flock got an upgrade! I recently drafted and built our feathered ladies (and gents) a new barn! The barn is 10.5' x 10.5'.

A few photos from today. It is a beautiful bright sunny day and sooooo wonderfully warm! The grass is coming out of dormancy and we will soon have gorgeous lush green pastures again.

Have you ever seen such gorgeous and healthy Jumbo Cornish Rocks (Cornish X) free-ranging and enjoying their lives safe from becoming dinner? These BIG girls lay big delicious eggs too! Our flock guardian Damon (13 year old Siberian Husky) was watching over the flocks this dank and dark afternoon.

This is Morgan, our American Bresse. The Bresse is a prized table chicken that is a national treasure in France. The Bresse is considered the best tasting chicken in the world and sells for around $50 per whole dressed chicken!

Einstein thought he would strike a nice pose for the camera. Einstein is a Buff Laced Polish rooster, one of two that we have on the homestead. He is two and a half months old.

Dinner time for our four rescue chickens. These beauties were rescued from the Jewish Kaporos (Kapparot) festival in NYC. They came all the way to GA for refuge and sanctuary from Brooklyn. Kai, the large one behind, still has a hard time with his feet, but is doing so much better! They free-range on a half acre with our BB turkeys.
