Lloyd's Lovely Ladies is a holistic homestead filled with beautiful, healthy, and very spoiled chickens and turkeys. We are also a poultry rescue for Cornish X chickens and broad breasted turkeys. Our birds are free-ranged and raised organically & holistically. They consume an organic and soy-free feed and organic
vegetables and fruit to supplement their full-time foraging. They LOVE mealworm treats! Our girls are not vegetarians. Chickens and turkeys are omnivores and natural hunters. They consume bugs, insects, grubs, lizards, and even mice! All water our birds receive is from food-grade FDA certified hoses. We raise our birds from chicks to ensure they are never exposed to medicine, medicated feeds, GMOs, or chemicals. We also feed supplemental herbs, spices, and seeds to protect our girls from internal parasite overload and to boost their immune system. We utilize cayenne pepper, ginger, turmeric, garlic, oregano, basil, squash seeds, and more! We never ever expose our birds to artificial light to increase egg production. We allow our girls to take advantage of their natural seasonal rest period from laying. This helps to protect their reproductive organs from disease and cancer. Our layer hens lay delicious and healthful eggs. The yolks are rich and flavorful and filled with an abundance of vital nutrients and anti-inflammatory fats. Eggs are available at various times throughout the year. We occasionally have chicks available as well! Our rescues are spoiled with special care, a special diet, supplements, and daily exercise. They are given sanctuary on our property for the remainder of their days. We never take the life of our animals.
