Went xc schooling at Poplar Place with my working student Hannah this past Friday before their show yesterday! Vivi the paint large pony mare I bought as a project, did not disappoint. Her behavior is fabulous. Didn’t care about being left or the other horses galloping and jumping. Ditches no problem. A okay with water, etc! Howie was a character, and we’ll leave it at that🤣

Yesterday at Poplar Place Farm, Eisenheim aka Charlie, and I earned our 2nd Second Level test score towards earning our Bronze Medal! Two levels of scores earned now with only Third level test scores to go!! The night before, Poplar received a huge amount of rain, and the temperature really dropped. Charlie proved to be the class act he is and put on his game face. Due to the rain, the footing was as good as it could have been, but it did have an affect on performance. Thank you Rachel Thompson for trusting me with your boy. I know I’m your Mama, but I also know how hard it is letting even me ride and care for your baby. Thank you Dee Wesley Equine Solutions, Naturally for keeping Charlie on his game with your magic fingers’ feel. Thank you Nancy Walker Bardy of Custom Saddlery for keeping his Custom Saddle fitting properly and for Custom’s sponsorship!

You say what’s the big deal about this video? Well this is Ms. Sally who is 91 years young and about to turn 92! You read right 91! She is riding my 26 years young Mustang, Comanche. Therefore, I present to you the real “Mustang Sally”!! She rode when she was younger, and wants to ride every once in a while. Her son Craig reached out to me. At 90 she made the WMAZ news. (Not at my place). She was trying to sit the trot which was jarring her back. I asked her if she new how to post. She said yes, but she was not sure she could still do it. She payed me the best compliment by saying Comanche was the best trained and sweetest horse she ever met. We put on an at liberty demo for her that left her smiling from ear to ear. Thank you Sally for allowing me to help you enjoy something you love! You are an inspiration to all equestrians.

Issac striking a pose. When I saw him, the line in the movie Secretariat came to mind. “Just look at him!”❤️.

Mallory Speir Ely and FGF Henny Strike led the BN division A at Full Gallop Farm from start to finish! With a 21.2, they had the lowest dressage score of the show! Finished with only .4 added to their xc score. They’re making my job as an instructor very fulfilling! Well done Mallory and Henny!! Only one more qualifying clean xc required for a trip to the AEC’s.

Big Maddie (Madeline Anthony) and Little Maddie (Madeline Villo) both competed yesterday at Poplar Place Farm Schooling show. I am so proud of these 2 students. They both accomplished something they hadn’t done before with their horses. Big Maddie did her first ever BN show jumping round and was clear! Little Maddie xc schooled the entire amoeba course! Saturday had a chilly start, but turned into a gorgeous day for a show! Thanks Poplar Place Farm for putting on these events for all of us to enjoy. Thank you volunteers for making it possible!

Immy loves her some Omega Alpha Gastrafx🤣. If you want a product that they love and that works, try this product for stomach health formula and healthy intestinal tract. Feel free to ask me about it!

Coached Mallory Speir Ely at Stable View schooling show this weekend. We haven’t shown alot this year, so as expected, there were a few green moments; however, none were evident on cross country. Henny was all business!

Big Cheese Eventing CT at Ashland Farms was mine and Immy’s (Butterwap's Imagination) first CT together and only her 2nd show. 1st show was jumping only. We were in the Amoeba Sr division and did the intro test C. You can tell by her expression she was not impressed with the 6th placed ribbon. She thought the exceptional moves she added to her dressage test should have placed her on top🤣. I was so pleased with her demeanor and try though. We scored a 37 with an 8 on her halt and salute. Appaloosas were well represented at this show! Go Appy’s. Thanks Hope Phillips Kilgore for going and helping me. Joni Bales Mellanie Burkhart Wap Spotted Fans and Friends

1/2 Arab Warmbood 15.2 grey mare 19 yrs young. No melanomas. Do not let her age put you off. She looks, acts and moves like a much younger horse. Is a confidence builder for someone wanting a first horse. Ground manners of a saint. Loads, bathes, clips, ground ties. UTD on Coggins, vaccines & teeth (Jan ‘21). Has competed in 4H, a couple of HT at BN level (haven’t done more due to expense) Several schooling shows. Showing at Novice level in April. She is a point and shoot jumper. Ditches, water, banks and trail riding are no worries. She is same off property as on. Is wonderful in her stall and in the pasture. No vices. Contact Corrie Land 478-538-3866 or PM for more info.
