Meet Petrie!

About 2 months ago I got a call asking to help a client with a dog she had rescued. Petrie was found literally on the side of the freeway curled up at the base of a sign. He was terrified and of course he would be! He bit the CHP officer who attempted to help, but my client was able to get Petrie to her house. It took some decompression time, a bit of Mexican mole, and a lot of trust building. Originally she was too scared to even put a collar on, but with positive reinforcement now not only can she take his collar on and off - she can put shirts on him! He has settled in and become one of the pack!!! Great job Carrie!!!

Throwback Thursday! My animal training roots started at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park where I worked with animal ambassadors. The goal of an animal ambassador is to come out and represent their species. I believe if you can see it, and sense it, you’ll want save it! Cheetahs are endangered species that need our help!

I love pokemon 🤣 and what a fun theme for an adoption event! Bowes Animal Rescue will be there with Grace the Great Pyrenees and George from the peach orchard this Saturday! Share so we can get them all adopted!!!

This little guy has come so far!!! Originally we couldn’t touch him and he barked frantically and scared warning people to move away, now he greets us with a happy tail! Please share far and wide! The rescue is willing to put a transport together and pull other dogs from the valley if they have a place to go! Help George find his home!
