UPDATE 10:00pm- FOUND! We are extremely grateful to share that Odin has been safely located 🙏🏼
We would like to sincerely thank the community for their outpouring of support and efforts to help us find Odin. We received an abundance of tips from the public regarding possible sightings, and had countless volunteers share their time helping with search efforts. Additionally, we would like to extend our gratitude to our neighboring law enforcement agencies who provided their assistance and support without hesitation.

MISSING K9
UPDATE 1:45pm- There have been two confirmed sightings of Odin in the area of Herndon and Chestnut in Fresno. We ask residents in that area to please be on the lookout.
**** The Madera County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization) is offering a $2,000 reward to anyone with information leading to the return of Odin, and/or who returns him safely to our agency.****
8:30am- At 4am on July 2, a Madera County Sheriff’s Deputy discovered his department patrol K9 escaped from the fenced yard of his home. Home surveillance footage shows the dog climbing over the top of his 6 foot kennel, and subsequently climbing over the 6 foot fence of the backyard. We are asking for the community’s help locating the dog and returning him home.
Odin is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois. He weighs around 75 pounds with black and tan coloring and a white patch on his chest. He is described by his handler as even tempered and social. He has experience with the public and children.
He was last seen in the area of Cedar and Bullard in the city of Fresno. He was not wearing a collar or Sheriff’s Office identification.
