Come hell 🔥 high water 🌊 or blizzards ❄️ these families were not letting literally anything get in the way of GO HOME WEEKEND!

A part of my heart goes with every babies I raise here at Badgerland Sphynx and these babies took a pretty big piece. These 5 were from my favorite mama Katya & all the girls have spice and all the boys are lovers like Dad Kaktus. I’m so happy to have three new BLS families in our extended family and a repeat family who adopted a retired queen from us! Thank you to all the trust & love you guys have poured into these babies from afar & also for me. It means the world to me to have such loyal wonderful families to share these kittens with!

Mama Smoke & New Mama Effie are in the home stretch of their pregnancies. They both are extremely loving girls, but this week there has been some serious attitude. Having been through 3 pregnancies myself, I 100% can sympathize with the hardship that is the end of pregnancy. 🤰

Soon these girls will be placed into a separate space for queening & then we wait for babies, my least favorite part 🫠

Last week we welcomed our 1st litter of 2025! We were so excited when labor started, but soon our excitement was halted with a stillborn first kitten. The second kitten came quickly after but we soon realized her size was that of a premie baby weighing in at only 60g (normal is 80g-100g) and she was just so so tiny. She was nursing and semi active so we were hopeful. We thought she was done having kittens as her labor completely stopped and she went to caring for her baby and resting. TEN HOURS LATER, her true last baby was born, weighing in at over 102g at birth. We were shocked as this isn’t something we have ever experienced at BLS! She went straight to nursing along side her sister which we were so happy to see. As the next 12-25 hours progressed, our little premie girl was not able to survive at such a low birth weight & slipped away from us dispite our very best effort of around the clock supplementing & careful watch. While we are very sad two of the babies in this litter did not make it to families, we are so happy this “better later than never” kitten is thriving & healthy 🖤

Indigo aka Indie is BLS first ever Torbie (Tortie/tabby) kitten and I’m honestly not sure how I’ll part with her! She is enjoying an all you can drink milk bar & at just 7 days old has her eyes open & is moving around the nesting box with ease. Her rolls are also giving any bakery a run for their money. She’s already got a set of lungs on her and her opinions can be heard throughout the house 😅

This single lady is just to die for & while we are horribly saddened that she is an only child, idk if would have it any other way 🖤

Khapri is getting so big so fast. I always hand over the babies at 15-16 weeks old, so I don’t often get to experience the giant growth spurt they go through🖤

I do love all her crazy & silly antics, the suckling on me at night but most of all I love her loud motor that runs 24/7 & her huge sweet personality 🖤

A dream is a wish your heart makes 🖤 and today mine just came true!

Badgerland Sphynx welcomed home our newest & absolutely GORGEOUS calico bambino future queen! I can’t believe she’s real, she’s finally here & she’s mine! Someone pinch me! If you’ve been around a while you know my obsession with bambino’s boarders a bit on the unhealthy sign and when I saw this girl after she was born, I just had to have her. I’ve been keeping this under wraps because as we all know, these babies are very fragile e, but she is home & Just absolutely perfect. 😍 A huge thank you to Caldwell Sphynx Cattery for this amazing little lady, we are just over the moon 🌙

We do however have one problem, she doesn’t have a name! Please help this mama out & drop your cutest/ most unique names! I need one soon so I can register her with our cattery!

Who thinks I should do a LIVE tomorrow when I introduce the Spice litter to the kitten play room? 🛝🙋🏼‍♀️

I just spent SIX HOURS today cleaning, scooping p**p, washing walls, windows, laundry (omg so much laundry), bleaching litter pans, dishes, scrubbing the floor, organizing the storage closet, vacuuming, organizing, moving around furniture… you name it, I did it. Flipping the play room and sanitizing everything for the next group is a full day project! But it’s so utterly satisfying when it’s sparkling clean and smells of chemicals 😅

The last of the babies have gone home today 🏡 🖤

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t sad to have my kitten play room empty tonight, but I’m so happy & excited for these families & of course the kittens I’ve spent the last 4 months raising! They are such a LABOR of time, commitment & love, but it is truly worth every sleepless night and worry when I see the beaming smiles on the families faces when “Gotcha Day” arrives!!!
•
This is also the first time an entire litter of kittens have all gone to homes of repeat buyers, no newbies here! I can’t tell you what that means to me. You have loved and trusted me not once but twice & thank you just simple doesn’t seem to cover it. But thank you nonetheless. Because of you guys, I get to keep my passion & commitment to these fantastic animals going & continue to keep losing screws along the way 🤪

Maverick has been singing to the babies as they wait for their families to come get them! It’s so sweet and absolutely melts my heart! Of course he wants to keep all of them, but he loves the very important part he plays in their wellbeing, rearing and overall child friendly exposure.
