Some of you know that we are transitioning into a more structured program which includes a change to Mondays daycare program which will be renamed Manners Monday and will include one-on-one training and small group training. Here is a preview of something that we will work harder on: impulse control relating to boundaries. We have always implemented structure at all gates and doors but this is a whole new level by being able to call the dogs by name one at a time while all the others patiently wait. Can you do this this with 28 dogs?!?
1-Group Enrichment Activity Monday: sniffing vermin (some licked too)
Update: everyone's licking the squirrel one. Squirrels must be delicious.
Working on "place" with an almost 6 month old silver lab. Mom and dad started private training lessons with me before he was 4 months old and they have been working very hard which has made training with him at daycare very easy.
Second video in comments.
It doesn't matter if I hold the door open for 2 seconds or 2 minutes. Dogs shouldn't be allowed to go through an open door without their owner giving them the okay. This could be a huge safety issue at your home. What if your dog were to plow through your front door and run out into traffic and get hit by a car? Door manners is a great safety training technique you can work on with your dogs at home that we reinforce here at daycare.
We are Madison's only structured Dog Daycare with a holistic approach.
1-Group Enrichment Activity Day + Louie's birthday so, we did a frozen licky bowl on this hot day combined with his birthday treat.
It's all about the MANY little things that we do here at DDD like bringing your dogs to your car at the end of the day, especially when it's raining cats and dogs...pun intended.
It's a bubble blizzard inside DDD today
Calm group sit. Structure and boundaries...all day every day.
Mmmmmm....FREE kongs for nap time during 1-Group Enrichment Activity Monday AND Mary Jane's Birthday
The Littles are loving the new 4 way tunnel.
The Littles will be getting a new four-way tunnel later this week so we've taken their old tunnel and allowed the big dogs to annihilate it.

DDD promotes balanced dogs with a structured routine consisting of play and rest.
"No! I am not going to take hoolahoop lessons any longer! If I destroy this hoop, I won't have to do it. I'm done!" -Banks
Client: 'How do you guys get such good pictures of the dogs all the time?'
DDD: 'We get to know your dogs on a very personal level and figure out what their trigger words are.'
Kron's trigger words= Duncan's, grandma, grandpa, Paisley (his bff), louie or barkley (his fur cousins)
We still have spots available for this morning's play session from 9:00 to 12:00. DDD clients can register in the reservation portal.
