Looking for feedback— It seems like many of our families have difficulty finding and scheduling farrier care. If there were dates for hoof care at the fairgrounds where I had a farrier or two to come in, is this something you would be interested in? Thinking beginning of April, mid May, and late June to offer times 6 weeks apart. People would have to reserve a time in advance.

Mark your calendars! We will be holding a Halloween event on October 20th at 2:00. Bring your riders and horses dressed in their best costumes. Come ready for fun and games!

2024 Fair is in the books. Thanks to all of our volunteers, kids, and parents who made this a great week.

Below are individuals who were received special recognition:

Junior sportsmanship- Tinley Crim
Senior sportsmanship- Emma Richey
Most improved- Lilly Cline
Most active member- Lindsey Gross

Senior members received scholarships and a custom keychain. Scholarships were made possible through our Community Foundation fund. Anyone may donate to this fund which gives to our program each year.
Abigail Sorensen- Senior and 10 year member
Erin Culver- Senior and 5 year member
Emma Richey- Senior and 3 year member

Stalls decoration competition winners received ribbons and gift cards sponsored by Dan and Barb Kelly:
1st place- Olivia Simpson
2nd place- Addy Nott
3rd place- Nicole Jones

4-H Horse and Pony member and family pitch in and awards will be this evening at 6:00. There is a sign up in the barn. Chicken will be provided. Trail classes from the western show on Tuesday and fun show to follow!

The weather has moved out of our area for the evening. All horses are safe and sound. Horses received the best care during barn watch by Tonya, Ian and myself. Care was complete with full water buckets and hay bags. The fair will reopen in the morning!

Check out this article published by The Madison Courier! This article does a great job highlighting our amazing youth and program. Our camp sponsored by Premier Ag was a great success and we are gearing up for a great fair! Come see our kids in action during fair week! English and contesting show is on Sunday starting at 1:00 pm. Western show is on Tuesday at 8:30 am.

Just sending a reminder to all! Our mandatory pre-fair week meeting is tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6:00. Do NOT bring horses. During this meeting, we will be discussing animal check-in and check-out procedures, barn watch, fair week schedule, stall assignments, barn rules, and ensuring everyone has signed up for classes. See everyone tomorrow! I’m looking forward to a great fair!
