“ENO the Madison pry/poodle mix is home safe and sound!! Owner saw her a few times yesterday morning but she just ran. We decided to set the trap at Chamard Vineyard as she was seen there. It was a beautiful quiet place and seemed perfect. The owner was with me the whole time and yesterday was quite upset because no calls came in. Finally this morning I caught her on camera and then was in the trap!!! Adventure was done! The best Mother’s Day gift of all gifts!!!!!!! A huge thank you to Chamard Vineyards for being so accommodating and allowing us to do whatever we needed to do!! They were totally awesome! ENO’s owners were amazing and never gave up!! Thank you to Liz Amendola, Madison ACO for searching, Ryan, Clinton ACO, and all the kind people in both Madison & Clinton for keeping their eye out!!! Welcome home ENO ❤️🐶🐾”

The WWII efforts didn't only enlist the service of dogs; they also saw plenty of felines doing their duty. Like Herman here - an expert mouser for the U.S. Coast Guard.

Cats were often kept on ships to control the rodent population, which was a significant problem for sailors. These cats were trained to hunt and kill mice and rats, helping to keep the ships' food supplies safe from contamination.

Due to the inclement weather and hazardous road conditions we will have a delayed opening tomorrow Tuesday Feb 28th of 1:00 pm. LOST CAT!
Unfortunately a client’s cat broke out of its carrier this morning (Tuesday) on the way into the hospital. Her name is Freya, and she took off towards Madison Earth Care and the woods behind our building. We have multiple traps set up and a pet tracker dragging her belongings around the property hopefully creating a scent trail back.
Please share and notify us of any sightings!

Madison Veterinary Hospital has been certified an official “Santa’s E.L.V.E.S.” (Emergency Landing and Veterinary Expert System) location.

In the event that Santa’s reindeer team needs to make an unscheduled Christmas Eve stop for sled repairs, refueling, or veterinary care, staff at this clinic will be available to provide needed assistance and ensure a safe and on-time delivery of Santa’s cargo.

PLEASE PLEASE SHARE !!

It has been months and months of waiting 😣

She has grown up in a shelter . She has never had a real family that loved her. The only “ family” she knew drove around in Guilford until they found the perfect dumping ground and kicked her out of their car .

When the nice officers found her abandoned and alone, they hoped someone would come forward but no one ever did .

We gave her the name of Honey. When we met her she was fearful of all people . She would shake and drool if you brought her near a vehicle . She did not want to be pet . Now after all of this time she loves affection, loves playing with balls, is starting to understand that car rides means getting pup cups and going to play outside .

We estimated that Honey was 5-6 months old when she was found . Now she is closer to 9-10 months old . She has been on NBC, WTNH and Fox . She has been in the New Haven Register and Shore papers. She has been on all of our social media and rescue groups pages too .

She has had meet and greets and people say she has too much energy ( which she is a higher energy dog )

But honey deserves a home … she is losing hope in the kennel . She really needs someone to believe in her . She is 9-10 months old . She would prefer to live without other animals right now. She likes the children she has met at the shelter . She loves hiking , playing ball , playing with toys in her toy box and just being with people . She would really prefer a fenced in yard . Madison Veterinary Hospital has joined in becoming a drop off location for Madeline’s Wish Toy Drive 2022 ❤️

Located at: 1260 Durham Rd, Madison CT.

Toys can be dropped off until December 16th!

Madeline Guarraia lost her battle to Leukemia in 2016 at only 10 years old. Madeline’s biggest thing was paying it forward. She loved helping others. She started by collecting stuffed animal tigers and handing them out to the other children in the hospital to keep them strong, like her tiger “Sunbutter” did for her. Now, her family continues her legacy with “Madeline’s Wish Toy Drive.” She also loved animals and aspired to be a veterinarian. We are so happy to be a part of her legacy. 🧡🐾
