BIG NEWS!!! Bunny Basics is moving locations!
Bunny Basics day and time will stay the same, but we’ll be in the front lobby of Southpaw Animal Clinic of Madison! (By the Madison library off Plaza Blvd.!) We’ll be teaching about bunny care with some of our adoptable and adorable rescue bunnies! Always free, and all are welcome!

We want to sincerely thank Three Tails ReSale and their amazing volunteers for generously hosting us since October 2022, our first Bunny Basics! This event has been SO crucial for education and adoption. We also know for a fact that a few rabbit’s lives have directly saved by education given in this event (so awesome!) so far, and GHHS hosted us, no questions asked, even when we were a tiny new group, just starting out. Thank you. We are lucky to have such kind neighbors in rescue. We hope to work with Greater Huntsville Humane Society (GHHS) on future rescue collaborations. 🖤
A big shoutout to the wonderful crew at Southpaw for generously lending their space and being so welcoming to us for future Bunny Basics! (Seriously, y’all are so great!) We are excited!

Never been to Bunny Basics before? This is our once a month event educating about all things bunny! Topics include housing, food, litter, toys, litter training, the recommended home emergency kit, how to hold a bunny, what behaviors mean, signs of GI stasis, the reasons to spay/neuter, how to take a bunny’s temperature and why you need to know how! We can also talk about fostering, our adoption process, and volunteer opportunities. There are no silly questions and there is a lot of bunny fun to be had! 🥳🎉🐰

As you surprise your loved ones with beautiful bouquets this Valentine’s Day, don’t forget about your furry friends! 🐶🐱 Some popular flowers can be highly toxic to pets, including:

🌿 Lilies – Extremely toxic to cats! Even a small nibble or pollen exposure can cause fatal kidney failure.�🌿 Daffodil Bulbs – Can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and heart problems if ingested.�🌿 Hydrangeas – Contain cyanogenic glycosides, which can lead to GI upset and lethargy.�🌿 Tulips – The bulbs are especially dangerous, causing drooling, vomiting, and diarrhea.�🌿 Carnations – Not as toxic as others but can still cause mild GI upset.
