This weeks horse we are donating to the cause is Penelope the paint pony mare. We are thanful for the people who have donated we have raised $850 so we have a long ways to go but every little bit helps.

Hi guys this is Troys granddaughter and we are trying to help her so there will be a donation link below! Please read her story!!!

Hey there! We are the RENTZ’S! Jamie, Phillip and Mikaylah. Mikaylah is a smart, fun loving, beautiful, outgoing 15 year old teenage girl!
She loves fishing, horses, hunting, her dogs, riding buggies and really just anything to do with the outdoors. Unfortunately, she struggles doing the things she loves to do because of epilepsy and the seizures it causes.
Mikaylah has had absence & clonic tonic (grand mal) seizures for years and at the age of 6 is when she was first diagnosed. Mikaylah continues to struggle daily and lives in fear for when the next one will hit. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to send Mikaylah’s dog Indie to become her service dog. She will be trained for a seizure alert dog. She will be able to alert Mikaylah BEFORE she seizes so she will be able to lay down safely and not fall. Mikaylah is a freshman in high school and has plans to attend college to further her education to become an RN. Indie will give Mikaylah the sense of relief and a peace of mind to fulfill her dreams without as much fear of the seizures anymore. Mikaylah has Fallen, banged her face, and stopped breathing so Indie having training will be able to provide a feeling of safety and security for Mikaylah to live a normal life as possible.
Indie’s job will include no more falling, be able to get help, alerting mikaylah before a seizure, staying with her during a seizure, keeping her safe from start to finish.
Our goal is to raise 10,000$ which will include all of Indies training, monthly visits for mikaylah and Indie to have one on one training with the trainer. This will go on for 6 months to a year depending on Indie. A huge thank you for taking the time to read this! Loves of love from Indie, Mikaylah and family

Welcome

The purpose of this page is to help raise awareness of the auction bound and slaughter bound equines that we make available on our website - tarheelfeedlot.com Each horse listed has a scheduled ship date and is offered for purchase prior. Please take some time, look around, and see what Tar Heel Feedlot is about! Available horses are listed with all information that we have, photographs, and video evaluations. Be sure to check out our Notes section for great information on how the process works here, helpful information on caring for your feedlot horse, and much much more! Check out our recommended groups here on Facebook where you can follow the progress of horses in their new homes, discuss all things related to feedlot horses and rehabbing them, and find wonderful people willing to mentor and help you when you need it. Maybe, after reading through everything, you’ve decided that a feedlot horse might not be the best choice for you and your family. That’s ok! We know this! Sometimes, the better choice for your family is an already rehabbed and fully evaluated horse available from a reputable rescue! We keep a list of such organizations and encourage you to visit their FB page and website, check them out, and maybe just find the perfect horse for you! Tar Heel Feedlot feels that the support of reputable rescue organizations is vital to helping at risk horses and we will regularly feature an available rescue horse from such organizations to help increase awareness of the wonderful horses waiting for adoption!

Thank you for visiting our page and please reach out if you have any questions!
