The chilly Autumn weather is officially here and just in time to cozy up to our November Camper of the Month, Max!

This cuddly little teddy bear has been with his family for about 9 years. He began coming to Camp K9 to get some regular exercise. Though he’s been coming for years, Max is still excited to see his Camp friends both canine and human 🙂

At home, Max makes sure to protect his family from the outside world. One of his favorite hangouts is the top corner of their sectional. From there he can see right out the front door enabling him to spot anyone walking by or approaching the house. Max also enjoys going for long walks or car rides with family members. When he’s not on guard duty or traveling with the fam, Max likes relaxing in luxury by laying on silk pillowcases in the bedroom. A hard working pup deserves top-notch relaxation! And after being the bestest protector, Max can balance on his hind legs while waving his front paws for a “Sizzler”, one of his favorite tasty treats!

On Camp days, Max makes sure to take his morning walk and eat a small breakfast before heading out. On the card ride to Camp, he sits on his dad’s lap while eagerly looking out the window the whole way. Once he arrives, first things first: Max needs a quick treat from the office staff! After his “arrival snack” it’s time to join the pack. Like at home, Max can often be found on the highest spots in the playroom. He enjoys watching the activity of the other dogs from his high peak then quickly makes his way to the action when he feels ready to join. Some of his best camper friends are Winnie the teddy, whom he enjoys snuggling with and Hank the terrier, who likes to help him patrol the yard. When his Pack Leaders are placing fresh bedding or fluffing up blankets, Max has a sneaky little habit of slyly slipping himself under their arms and onto the cushioning; then he looks up patiently waiting for head pats and butt scratches.

It’s been incredibly rewarding being able to hang out with our little buddy Max over the years. We are so Thankful for the many visits so far and look forward to many more to come. Congrats, Maxie from your friends at Camp K9!
