Holy Cat Whiskers Rescue

Holy Cat Whiskers Rescue TRAP-NEUTER/SPAY AND RELEASE PROGRAM FOR FERAL CATS. We are the only Feral cat rescue 501(c)(3) in Lake County. "Page/General Info" tab ->Wish List!

Holy Cat Whiskers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are a Trap-Neuter/Spay and Release program for feral (born in the wild) cats. We provide housing/food for feral colonies to keep them under control. We adopt out kittens from our feral mothers and if possible, the mothers as well. At our shelter we bring in injured, sick or pregnant cats and nurse them back to good health. However, we do NOT handle domestic cats. Our goal is to reduce feline overpopulation and disease in our area.

What does the adoption process entail when working with HCW? You can expect to receive a healthy, loving cat or kitten, fully vetted, including microchipping. Our team is dedicated to providing support throughout the transition to ensure the best possible outcome. We remain committed to assisting you beyond the adoption process, and should it become necessary, we facilitate the return of the cat without hesitation. Additionally, adopters receive a comprehensive take-home package and guidance, becoming valued members of the HCW family!

Ty for the heated bed and the grabber warmers, I don't know if these will stay warm in the cold, but I'll find out. We know the sport temps are not good for cold weather they do not stay warm. Good for 50 degrees. So if you are heating houses stay away from those in extreme cold.

I received a call from a resident on Rt 20 by Cebar's regarding a male cat that was intact. The cat had sustained injuries and was frozen. I picked him up and transported him to Dr. Tom, but unfortunately, we were unable to save him. His body temperature was 90 degrees, and he had fluid in his lungs and a dislocated knee cap. The cat was a black and white short-haired breed. It was a very sad day, particularly due to the brutally cold temperature, which was detrimental to the animal's well-being.

I have been thru 150 hot hands since this bitter cold has started! And could use more if you can. Plz no sports temp ones, these cats need a break and so do I, lol. Ty

We are inviting part-time volunteers to join our team in various capacities. In-house support is essential to cover call-offs and provide additional assistance. Friday and Saturday evenings, 6:30-8pm, are allocated for in-house help. Monthly large deliveries require volunteers to put away items. Fundraising support, including events and basket collection, is also necessary. Moreover, miscellaneous clerical work is available for those interested.
Plz fill out volunteer application on our FB page.

This is unacceptable. I will be making a few phone calls. Lazy. They have a dock right up to the back door.
