Our staff is so excited to see you all again next week! We will still be curbside to keep everyone safe. We can’t thank our wonderful clients enough for being so understanding!

Hello friends,
We are unfortunately currently unavailable for appointments due to covid. Keeping our clients and our team healthy and safe is our #1 goal throughout this pandemic.
We will hopefully be back in full operation next Monday the 17th. As for medication pick ups and grooming this week, one tech will be at the clinic for medication pickups tomorrow and Thursday 8am-2pm. Corina, our groomer will be there Thursday and Friday for her grooming appointments.
If you have an urgent concern, please contact MVS at (608)274-7772 or UW at (608) 263-7600 or VCA at (608) 831-1101

We thank you for your continued patience and understanding during these unsure times. We can’t wait to see all your sweet pets again soon.

WTVC staff is so very proud of our city for their forward-thinking efforts for our beloved kitties! Madison City Common Council last night unanimously passed (on the first vote) a ban on declawing. Look at the list of all the towns/provinces & states in North America (and so many countries in the world) that are educating cat owners to provide cat scratching alternatives and know that letting cats be cats is the ONLY right way. Thank you Alders Lemmer and sponsor Carter and all alders for your forward-thinking. Here are details on how to direct feline scratching behaviors appropriately

Dr Ken was interviewed about his new startup Healthy Pet Connect which is essentially West Towne's own Fit Pets for Rescues gone national. Let us know if you are interested in this telemonitoring system as we are getting 4X better weight loss using technology (scales & sometimes smart feeders)

Dr. Ken Lambrecht, CVO of Healthy Pet Connect, talks about fighting pet obesity, the potential of home health ecosystems, and the challenges of getting quality data to veterinarians.

We are adding to our team! Do you know any experienced veterinary technicians or assistants that would like to work with our amazing new Dr Trisha and our new manager Zimmerman and our great WTVC team? (and a few hours with Drs Tina & Ken too!) We want to be fully staffed by mid-December when we upgrade to our new practice management software so technology-friendly and of course a great team player is desired too! Please let us know by sending email to [Email hidden]. Oh yes, hiring bonus for them and for you if a CVT or qualified to sit for CVT exam but of course we are willing to train assistants too. Come join this cohesive team committed to the highest quality veterinary medicine!

New information on diet-associated dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs. Until the full story is known we strongly encourage you to feed only foods that have done AAFCO feeding studies and have a strong record of supporting pet nutrition studies.

A new study by researchers at Tufts University sheds light on the connection between canine dilated cardiomyopathy and diet. And peas are still a possible culprit.

Hey Followers!👋
We have another Spudge update for you! It's been a little over a month since Spudge came to Bug's Cat Gym from our lovely friends at Dane County Humane Society to work on his obesity. We're so proud to say that he's lost nearly 4lbs since the beginning of June! He still has a ways to go on his weight loss journey to reach his ideal weight but with the support of his fans, and his buddy Aspen, he's determined to make it! Go Spudge, Go! 😸

If you have an overweight dog or cat at home ask us about our weight loss subscription! We'll help them shed those extra pounds just like Spudge & Aspen have been!
