Great news — Diesel is home! With help from CTDGR’s Melanie and a diligent owner, posters were promptly put up at the gas station where he was found. Diesel is safe, and his owner couldn’t be happier. Welcome home, buddy! 🐶💙

“Pony” is still waiting…I can’t believe no one is interested in this sweet dog??? 1-2 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and he loves other dogs! This guy loves to play fetch, he will bring the ball back to you all day! Pony has also lived with a cat no problem. UPDATE Bodie is home safe! Friends in the Liberty St. Middle Beach areas please keep an eye out for this little guy! He’s dragging a leash so he may be caught up somewhere. Finally Ginger the Guilford dog was trapped tonight by CTDGR volunteer Melanie & Tai! This pup gave us a run for our money. She was avoiding humans and really only being seen on video cameras! 13 days in unfamiliar territory as Ginger was from Pennsylvania. She came here for a family birthday party and escaped. There are just so many people along the way to thank! Erika & Sean from Redcon One drone services who flew 3 times, another drone pilot Ben who also flew. The whole Guilford community, all those who shared videos of Gingers whereabouts. Clinton UPS Store, always support your local businesses, homeowners who allowed cameras in their yards, Dan on Grist Mill who allowed the trap in his yard! Gingers mom, uncle & aunt who never gave up! Welcome home Ginger!!

STILL MISSING**

We had 2 sightings that were called into the police department that she was seen at the intersections of Durham Rd & Prospect Hill & Durham Rd & Flat Meadow. There were no pictures so unsure if it was her.

***We are asking everyone in the area to please check cameras for footage of her***

This community has been so wonderful keeping us informed and we all appreciate that.

Does anyone remember these two cuties? Bambi and Timber(now Kimber)? They came by the shelter for a visit today! Bambi and Kimber were adopted together by a wonderful local family many months ago. These girls are strongly bonded, and I couldn’t bear to separate them so it took a while to find their new home. Totally worth the wait, happy dogs❤️

Can anyone welcome sweet “Pony”into their home? This guy is a 1 year old Shepherd mix, good with other friendly dogs and cats. Pony will be neutered and vaccinated in a few weeks. He’s a big guy and a little behind in his training so a no small children home would be best. Pony is a smart boy and a sensitive type so with a gentle hand and a little patience he will get right up to speed! Pony’s buddies have left so he now constantly carries his favorite toy around.. To meet Pony, please Email [email protected]. Approved adopter must take big, dirty, wet stuffed bone also.
