Aunt Ernies Pet Parlor in Magna is looking for a Professional Pet Groomer. Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. Aunt Ernies is a small family owned Pet Groomery who pride themselves of professionalism and Drama Free work environment. Our Groomers work together to insure less stress and a happy work environment. We groom all breeds and Cats. We only work the first Saturday of the Month so you have that very important "Family Time" Groomers are responsible for cleaning after themselves and occasionally answering phones and checking out Pet (when Brandis is unavailable). Pay is 50% commission and 100% tips. This is a 1099 position and you will be required to get your own business license with salt lake county. The Holiday Season has begun!!!! We all know that this time of year is especially stressful for our low income and disadvantaged families here in the Magna Community. Aunt Ernies Pet Parlor would like to help lighten that stress we are teaming up once again to help out our neighbors and friends at Magna F*A*C*T.... With the weather changing, I want to give all you Pet Doggie Moms and Dads some info for cold weather and grooming...
#1 yes your Dog needs to be groomed in the winter
#2 unless your Dog is an outside only pet it will not freeze if you shave it.
#3 keeping your Dogs hair long in the snow is counter productive. The snow collects in the fur and then it takes about 30 minutes to melt (all over your house) then another hour to dry...then its potty time again. Your pet literally spends most of the day wet and cold... so remember... no coat is warmer than a wet coat.
#4 neglecting to groom your Dog in the winter causes undue stress to your pet and groomer come spring. Your pet will be matted sometimes causing excessive skin problems and brushing from the matted hair.
#5... if you didn't get a bath or fix your hair for months you wouldn't be very happy...its the same for your Pets.
