What will your brick say? There’s still time to honor your family, loved ones, past or present pets, your business, or yourself by permanently placing a brick on the front walkway of AAR. What a thoughtful holiday gift!! We’re inviting you to participate in a meaningful way by purchasing a commemorative brick, with the proceeds directly supporting the dogs and cats in our care as well as being able to help so many more in our community.

Our medical costs last year alone totaled over $203,000, and by the third quarter of 2024, we have already surpassed $179,000. Through our Starfund, we’ve also assisted 149 animals in our community, helping families manage unexpected medical costs and supporting our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program.

As an all-volunteer organization, we rely entirely on fundraisers and donations to continue this essential work. With your help, we can expand our efforts and make an even greater impact on the lives of animals in need. Your brick will be a lasting tribute, and your generosity will make a difference for the animals and families in our community.

Woodlands Creek Animal Hospital stopped by yesterday to drop off donations and let us know they will be having “Pictures with Santa” Thursday, December 19th from 9:30 - 11:30. Proceeds will come to AAR! Thank you so much for supporting our cats and dogs!! We appreciate you!

It's hard to believe Rocco wrote this letter to Santa in 2022 and he's still waiting for his forever home. 🥺This amazing dog is friendly, playful, smart, and loves to have fun. He knows many commands. He wiggles with excitement when it's his time with the volunteers and thrives on human connection. He's attended several events outside the shelter and is always a perfect, well-mannered gentleman. Rocco would shine as the star of the show in a single-pet home. One thing's for sure – he'll give his family endless love and loyalty. Could you be the one to finally grant Rocco's Christmas wish? We know you'll fall in love with him the moment you meet him! Meet Lyla, a gentle and gorgeous girl with a calm and loving nature. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was a bit shy, but as she settled in with the help of our volunteers, her sweet, playful personality began to shine. Rescued alongside another dog from a rural property, Lyla gets along well with cats and even chickens! Happy tears!! Shiloh was just adopted, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for this sweet boy. He struggled adjusting to shelter life but his dad saw through the anxiety and saw the true potential of a loving, loyal friend. Cersei is a total sweetheart & beautiful to boot. She’d make the best companion but we understand that adopting a cat with asthma may be daunting. Take a look at our video demonstrating how to give Cersei her asthma treatment (she receives this every other day). She’s so patient with it! I adopted Kai back in January of 2023 and it was the best decision for my tuxedo, Orbit. They LOVE each other and Kai loves to play peek-a-boo. My other fur baby is Archer “Archie”. I adopted him just a few months ago and he got out of his shell so quickly and became best friends with my other kitties.
