Sable is a 14.3hh, well built stocky 9yr old bay mare. Trail horse with, Great ground manners and easy to handle. Baths, saddles, trailers, picks up feet and good for farrier. Has been used primarily as a trail horse and goes through anything you ask her to even if unsure. Very willing to please, just needs her person to give her all the attention she deserves. We really like this mare at the ranch.

Kat is a 2 1/2 year old Quarter Horse filly standing 14.2hh and still growing. She has a great foundation under saddle and is very willing to learn and please. She’s been started and trained by a 13yr old boy and is really turning out nice. He takes her down the roadway, through the woods, thick brush and swimming in the pond. He has been working the cow pens off her and she’s showing a ton of potential as a cow horse prospect. With her athleticism, brains and build she could easy go any direction from western, English, performance, cattle or even a barrel prospect. Kat is great trail riding, so would be perfect for that as well. Her sire is CNN CATS SMOKIE by SMOOTH AS A CAT. Her dam is a Colonel Freckles bred horse, but stuff happened with getting her transferred, so Kat is a grade filly and can not be registered. Very sweet and handsome 10yr, 34inch tall buckskin stallion with 1 blue eye. Very gentle and easy to handle. We would like to give the public a chance to buy this really nice stallion before we have him gelded mid April. It would be a shame to geld him because he is very nice and throws gorgeous foals with color! Have pictures of some foals if you would like to see. Would also make a great little family cart pony if you want him gelded. Rides leadline and still being finished as a solo riding pony.

Jasmine is a 2yr old short, thick, and stocky 14.1 hand dun filly. She has been started right and has a good foundation under saddle as well as on the ground. Jasmine is easy to catch and handle on the ground as well as on her back. She's easy to load, tack, groom, bath and halter. She is a colonel freckles and doc bar bred horse, but will not have papers. Cece is a 13h, 11yr old Molly mule. Great trail riding mule for the kids and adult riders! Cece is one hand neck rein broke, has a nice slow lope and a nice trot and easy to whoa. She has been ridden and packed all over in the hill country and the mountains and has been taken on big trail rides and in parades. Not spooky and very quiet under saddle! We was told Cece also pulls a wagon single, but we have had the time to hook her up and try her as of yet.

Penrod Hill Dolly AKA Dolly is a 2011 model 18hh Belgian mare. Dolly will ride, but rides green like most pulling horses. Dolly has been used in the fields working farm Machinery, to train young horses and has pulled a wagon double on the trail rides and parades. She has also been used on the carriage. She can be sold as a team with Black Percheron Mare Babe. Dolly’s had 2 really nice foals of which one was just weaned off her in Jan 2024. She is a very good momma and produces lots of Milk! Gentle to handle on the ground, ties well, loads and unloads easy (backs off trailer). Would be great addition to anyones broodmare program for Belgians or even for nice crossbreds! Would be great to take back and put under harness and put her back to work! She is sound and a beautiful mover! Due to Foal May 2024. She is bred to N.B.A. hardy Rock a pulling bred Belgian stallion. (We do not guarantee the foal to be registrable, but was told when she foals we can call him and he will get us the papers on the foal, but we are not making any guarantees.) we hold the original papers to Dolly but the transfer has been misplaced or lost. 8️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣

Babe is a 10yr old Black Percheron mare that is beginner safe to both ride and drive. She was Amish trained and both ridden and driven by the kick to school. She can be worked single, double as well as 3 and 4 up and has been used to train the younger horses under harness as, she doesn’t get spooked or speed up when something is acting up next to her. Babe rides just as well as she drives through all gaits. She can be sold as a team with our Belgian mare Dolly.Babe is vet checked in foal to hitch bred Percheron stallion. She will be due sometime between April-July 2024 and probably the sooner than the later.

Coming to Cowboy's Choice Horse Sale March 16th at the Rusk County Youth Expo Center.

1.) Peppermint is a coming 5yr old chocolate palomino gelding that is approximately 38 inches tall. He has been ridden solo as well as leadline. He is a great little cart pony and gentle for anyone to drive and handle. Peppermint is great with the kids and loves the little ones! He is very friendly and loves people pets and scratches as well as to be groomed. Good with all 4 feet for the farrier, ties well, saddles and bridles easily as well as jumps right into the trailer! Handles by my 3yr old regularly!

2.) Cookie is a 4yr old 32” tall sorrel paint pony gelding. Cookie ride solo like a big horse, leadline like a champ and has been under harness as well. Cookie has been used for birthday parties and other functions for kids. He’s very gentle and great with the small kids! Cookie is handled by my 3yr old regularly and is easy to lead, tie saddle harness and load.

3.) Eight-Ball is a 12.3 hand, 8 year old Blue Roan paint pony gelding. He’s a handy broke little horse that you can work and doctor cattle on or just enjoy trail riding on him. He would be good for a young cowboy or cowgirl to make a playday horse, goat tying or even a calf horse. He has a lot of speed and will track a calf good, has nice handle and neck reins good.

4.) Lexi is a 4yr old, 12.3h strawberry roan pony mare. She is quiet and gentle on the ground and under saddle. Started under harness and on a cart. Easy to handle, load, tie and saddle.
