February is Dental month.
Book your dental this month and get 10% off all dental procedures.

Dental care is very important to help your pet live a long and healthy life. Dental disease is an infection of the teeth, gums, and surrounding structures and is by far the most common major health problem of cats and dogs. According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats show signs of oral disease by the time they are three years old.

Symptoms of severe dental disease in dogs and cats may include:
•Bad breath
•Lethargy, inactivity, or depression
•Poor grooming
•Salivating
•Red, swollen, or bleeding gums (gingivitis)
•Plaque accumulation on the teeth
•Decreased or loss of appetite and weight loss
•Dropping food from mouth while eating
Facial swelling
•Discharge from the nose or eyes
•Pawing at the face
•Teeth becoming loose or falling out

The key to managing dental disease in dogs and cats is prevention. Brushing your pets teeth regularly with pet safe toothpaste and getting regular preventive dental cleanings can help keep your pets teeth and gums healthy and help prevent them from losing teeth in the future!!

Minnie had the right idea to wear a cozy sweater to stay warm!!

Although Texas temperatures remain relatively mild, it is essential to ensure pets are warm during colder periods.

To safeguard pets from colder weather, consider the following precautions:
1. Limit outdoor exposure and utilize protective clothing like jackets and booties.
2. Acknowledge that pets feel cold temperatures similarly to humans.
3. Be cautious of cold weather chemicals, such as sidewalk ice, which can harm pets.
4. Always inspect your vehicle before departing, as small animals may seek shelter under the hood or in tires for warmth. 5. Note that older pets may experience increased arthritis discomfort due to colder weather, similar to humans.
