Horseback riding, equine therapy, summer camps and birthday parties

We are officially signed up for the Maiden Christmas Parade on November 30th! Please let us know if you want to ride in the truck/float or on a horse if I have any left to ride! You must be in the lesson program as well as be able to walk/trot and steer without any help!

This week the barn is closed Sunday-Wednesday as Brooke will be on vacation soaking up the sunshine at the beach! If you have lessons any day she is gone please message to reschedule. Thank you and we will see you when she returns!!

This evening we took a trip up to a baptism celebration! Sky and Cooper did great giving pony rides! We enjoyed meeting new people and seeing all the smiles!

Our baby goat Buckley got to take a field trip tonight to go shoot a music video with Lil Man J. I’m not to sure he was on board with this idea but he did go somewhat willingly! Keep an eye out for when the music video comes out!

We are one day away from the Soldier Reunion Parade! We will be arriving at 3:30 but if you are riding in the truck/float you can meet us there! If you are riding a horse through you need you need to bath the horse today and pack your tack up and meet us there at 3:30 tomorrow! Message Brooke for the address as to we’re to meet! We are so excited!!

Camp day 2 was a great day fun had by all! Sorry I forgot to post day 1 so there are a few from yesterday as well at the end! Can’t wait to have another fun filled day tomorrow! We have a great group of campers this camp!

Just a very hot day full of work around the farm with our volunteer Dre! He comes every morning to do odds and ends for us! Thank you Dre for helping keeping the animals happy and safe!

Camp day 2 is finished and was so fun! We had so much fun this camp!! We have 2 weeks till our last week long camp! We can’t wait!!

It was a great 1st day of our teen/young adult camp! We had lots of laughs and tons of smiles!

After vet ride for the girls! They learned a lot and deserve some ride time for helping! Training ride number 3 for Jet!

Today was vet day at the farm for some of our horses! Cooper, Sky, Promise, and Justice all got teeth floated and we had some coggins pulled! We can’t thank our vet enough for keeping our horses in tip top shape! Even Sophia got to help the vet! We love when clients come to watch and learn!

Camp day number 2 was a blast! We loved having this small group of campers! These 3 kepted us on our toes and made us laugh more than we have in awhile! We rode, we had crafts, tons of snacks, and so many good laughs! We can’t wait for our bigger kids camp Thursday and Friday!

Our 2 day summer camp for our youngest started today and we had so much fun with this crew! We can’t wait for more fun tomorrow! We had lots of laughs had by all!

Jet has officially started his refresher under saddle with the help of some of our volunteers! Just a walk today and he has been a champ!

We would like to welcome Jet to the Stars & Stride’s crew for 30 days! He is in on a refresher course to learn some manners! He’s a big boy but just as big a teddy bear! Stop by and say hi to Jet at your next lesson!

I sent one of our volunteers home with a turkey, duck, and chicken egg to try so we could start selling some and well he has rated them for us! Let us know if you’re interested in buying some! Ratings are Chicken-6 Turkey-7 Duck-7.5-8

We had a paintball party as well and the kids loved it!! Can’t wait for another week long camp in a few weeks! We have a few spots left so hurry and get them!

Off to the mini races at camp today!

Dre and Sophia, who knew catching minis would be the hit of the morning? Y'all rock, btw! I think half the block heard those kids cheering you on! 🤣

Little Buckley almost didn't make it, but he's here with a little help!!

Buckley is born! Cookie went into distressed labor this morning. With the help of some special friends, Brooke stuck her arm up the birth canal, dislodged the stuck feet and shoulder and saved two lives! We are so proud of her!!

For those of you who sponsored a goat, here's an update! They got upgraded to the round pen after we installed some fencing and we have some happy goats! They will have that round pen cleared out in two seconds flat!! 😂

Today at the farm we had a visitor. We were making fence repairs and in the process of clearing out room for a new stall we turned around to this deer frantically trying to get back to the woods! Poor guy!!
