Welcome our new silkie hen! Picked her up this morning! The past week is just all about new animals.

Just a few pictures of Grace. She has settled in nicely and was seen by the vet yesterday for a check up. She got the all clear for work as she is a little on the “fluffy” side. Can’t wait to get that weight off and see what this girl can do! It’ll be at least a month before she can join the lesson program!

Wow yall have amazed me we have helicopters, insulin, horses, side by sides, and we are up to 45 people coming with us Sunday to help! This is what Stars & Strides is about! Y’all are rocking it keep it up tho we have till Sunday to make it count! Let’s get these trailers packed full!

❗️❗️For anyone who donates they will receive a 30 minute free lesson❗️❗️

Hey everybody so we have a plan for this weekend Sunday we will be heading up with horses and a trailer full of stuff if anyone can donate anything we will take it up first thing Sunday with us. We are working with a couple groups to make sure items get dispersed evenly to people in need. At this point we need waters, baby formula, non-perishables, diapers, wipes, dog food, cat food. If our Stars & Strides family can come together and drop off something we would greatly appreciate it! If you can’t make it by the farm let us know we can pick up! We head out first thing Sunday so let make this trip count! If you feel like donating but can’t get stuff to us we have PayPal/venmo/cashapp and will go buy what is needed to take!

Due to everything we have decided to open our doors for a few horses needing a soft landing. If you can help in anyway let us know! We are working with others to gather things to be taken up Asheville as well!

Today was a very productive day here at the farm! Got all our trees cut and on to the burn pile thanks to our volunteers! This crew never stopped working, so very proud of them!

Hey everybody tomorrow is a workday as we have trees come down our fences so we have a crew coming if anyone is able to help work please start at 10. Our horses cannot go outside until these trees are cleared. The more help the faster we are able to get them back outside. Please let us know if you plan on coming to help.

It was a good evening for a group lessons to help prepare one of our students for her first show! Now to prepare for the storm coming our way!

Hey Stars & Strides crew! We are happy to announce that Cisco is up for onsite lease! If your child has ridden Cisco in lessons and would like to lease, let us know! Lease fee includes weekly lessons.

The purpose of leasing is for the student to be able to ride outside of lessons and to practice what they have learned. Brooke will be onsite for free riding, but won’t be in arena unless the student needs something. If the student wishes to ride at a time when Brooke isn't onsite, a parent must be present. This horse won’t stay up for lease long as he just come off a lease so sn**ch him on up now!

Update she has a name everyone meet S’mores!!

Welcome our new female rabbit! She will grow up a bit and in a few months be breed back to another one of her breed! We are taking name suggestions for our sweet girl!

We are officially signed up for the Maiden Christmas Parade on November 30th! Please let us know if you want to ride in the truck/float or on a horse if I have any left to ride! You must be in the lesson program as well as be able to walk/trot and steer without any help!

This week the barn is closed Sunday-Wednesday as Brooke will be on vacation soaking up the sunshine at the beach! If you have lessons any day she is gone please message to reschedule. Thank you and we will see you when she returns!!

This evening we took a trip up to a baptism celebration! Sky and Cooper did great giving pony rides! We enjoyed meeting new people and seeing all the smiles!

I sent one of our volunteers home with a turkey, duck, and chicken egg to try so we could start selling some and well he has rated them for us! Let us know if you’re interested in buying some! Ratings are Chicken-6 Turkey-7 Duck-7.5-8

We had a paintball party as well and the kids loved it!! Can’t wait for another week long camp in a few weeks! We have a few spots left so hurry and get them!

Off to the mini races at camp today!

Dre and Sophia, who knew catching minis would be the hit of the morning? Y'all rock, btw! I think half the block heard those kids cheering you on! 🤣

Little Buckley almost didn't make it, but he's here with a little help!!

Buckley is born! Cookie went into distressed labor this morning. With the help of some special friends, Brooke stuck her arm up the birth canal, dislodged the stuck feet and shoulder and saved two lives! We are so proud of her!!

For those of you who sponsored a goat, here's an update! They got upgraded to the round pen after we installed some fencing and we have some happy goats! They will have that round pen cleared out in two seconds flat!! 😂

Today at the farm we had a visitor. We were making fence repairs and in the process of clearing out room for a new stall we turned around to this deer frantically trying to get back to the woods! Poor guy!!
