The Veterinary Dermatology Center strives to provide the most up-to-date dermatological care for our patients in a kind, caring and professional manner. Because many of the diseases we deal with are lifelong, it is also our goal to educate our clients and spend as much time as needed to help them understand and manage their pets’ condition. We feel this helps strengthen the human-animal bond by making our patients happier, more comfortable, and therefore better pets.

Good morning VDC friends! We were lucky enough to start our day with this social butterfly, Elliot!

Elliot enjoy long walks in the AC, slobbery kisses, sun bathing against his moms wishes, and ALL THE PETS! So much so that he was taken out of his exam room and met all the people in the building!

Good morning and happy Friday Eve!!

Here at VDC we adore all our patients, but a lot of times, allergies don't start affecting them until they are a tad older. So, when a baby comes to see us, our staff must all stop everything they are doing to cuddle and love on them!

Meet Thunder! This little dude weighs in at a whopping 2.2kg and is full of kisses and sweet chihuahua wiggles! He came and visited us for a Recheck appointment with one of our amazing Dermatologists, and is doing great!

This past weekend we had the pleasure of visiting Alaska Farms and participating in GOAT YOGA! Yes. Goat yoga! It was a blast and we completely recommend for some stress relief and tons of smiles!

Meet Louie!

Louie came to hang with us last week to get an intradermal allergy test, and he did awesome! He was a perfect gentleman and definitely wasn't stingy with his kisses!

His mom and dad now have some pollen answers, and are starting his immunotherapy journey!

Fireworks are pretty, but they are no fun for pets. With the 4th of July quickly approaching, be sure to call your regular veterinarian *now* if your pet might need some anti-anxiety medication. Remember to keep pets indoors, update microchip information, provide a safe space for pets to hide, distract with a treat, and give lots of love and reassurance! 🐾

Hello all! We have a 10 years young poodle named Jack that needs a home. His owners are elderly and going through a lot of health things and just couldn’t care for him anymore. 😓

He is super sweet, loves to cuddle, loves kids, and just needs someone to keep up with his allergies and cuddle with him. He is blind but that definitely does not stop him from getting around. He is literally the most confident blind dog we’ve ever met lol!

Ideal home would be a place that someone is home a decent amount, he has someone to cuddle with, and someone that wont shy away from extra bathing and keeping up with meds for his allergies (it’s really not bad!). Jack is currently being fostered by two of our technicians, but he really needs a permanent home.

He is good with other dogs and cats but doesn’t really interact with them. He’s like eh, yup they are there.

Due to Hurricane Ian we will only be open from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm on Wednesday. For the safety of our staff, clients, and pets the office will be closed on Thursday. The plan is to reopen the clinic on Friday with weather and electricity permitting. We are hoping for the best possible outcome for everyone during these uncertain times.
