What can I say.....let them be horses....ππ΄π
Training a horse should prioritize their instincts and independence. Instead of forcing actions, present options and allow them to make decisions. This respectful approach fosters trust and builds a deeper bond. Just like life, where choices shape our journey, horses too flourish when given the freedom to express their preferences. Embrace this philosophy, nurturing a partnership rooted in understanding and respect, leading to mutual growth.

A much needed trail ride!! With all this crazy weather and then getting sick (still have the cough as you can hear), it was great finally
getting out. Horses were amazing, and we cleared a lot of ground....11 miles, 3 hoursπππ΄
Finished with an herbal shampoo to get all the yuck off, then an herbal wash for soothing/healing/and moisturizingπ΄π
Training a horse with treats can be a powerful tool for relaxation, not merely a reward system. When a horse lowers its head below the pole, it triggers the release of endorphins and oxytocin, creating a state of calm. This practice fosters trust between horse and handler, establishing a soothing environment where bonding flourishes, and anxiety diminishes, facilitating effective training sessions.

Training a young horse can be a challenge, especially in the first two days when clashes of wills often occur. Frustration might fill the air as both horse and trainer seek to find their ground. However, on the third day, a remarkable transformation happens; mutual understanding blossoms. This critical timeframe, the magic number of three days, unlocks a bond uniting horse and human in harmony.

Take #1π
Today was a remarkable day in our training. With patience, I led my horse toward the daunting ditch obstacle, his heart racing with uncertainty. I encouraged him gently, using soft words and guiding gestures. With each hesitant step, he gained confidence, eventually walking through the ditch effortlessly. The joy and pride in his eyes matched my own as we celebrated this achievement together.
