STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY in Hot Spring and Garland Counties (Malvern and Hot Springs, AR)
We are an all-volunteer animal welfare group that works tirelessly re
scuing pets from the high-kill city shelter in Malvern, AR. All of which is accomplished by volunteers and with volunteer foster homes. Most people are surprised to hear we only have foster homes and no shelter. People often confuse us with the local “Humane Society” or “Animal Control” however they are different organizations entirely. Stop Animal Cruelty is the premier animal welfare organization in our area. We are a “No Kill” organization as we never have a healthy or treatable pet euthanized. We do not limit our program to healthy animals, particular breeds or the highly adoptable. Being an all-volunteer organization with foster homes, we are proud that donations directly benefit our rescued pets as there are no employees with expensive salaries or a shelter facility with large overhead costs. SAC has certified Humane Investigators who respond to over 300 reports of abuse or neglect each year in both Hot Spring & Garland Counties and intervene whenever necessary by way of education, or if need be prosecution. We are now the only local animal welfare organization that investigates reports of animal cruelty as unfortunately the local “Humane Society” will no longer provide this service. On a daily basis, our volunteers educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering and provide our communities with low cost vouchers. We are available to our local schools, churches and civic organizations to teach humane care and dog bite prevention as we are strongly committed to keeping our community’s children safe, as well as their pets.

FOREVER HOMES NEEDED FOR ORPHANED DOGS
Coco and Sy became orphans when their owner died. The daughter can not keep them and needs to re-home asap. Coco is a 13 yr old Jack Russell mix girl who is bonded with Sy, an 8 yr old Corgi mix boy. Sy is food/water protective. Although they love each other, they really are not compatible with other dogs. It is thought they would do best in a home with a senior who is home a great deal. They have been thru a lot since their owner died - they need TLC and comfort.
They have been spayed/neutered. Pls contact Janice 501-620-3160.

FINN IS JUST WAITING FOR HIS NEW FOREVER HOME
Finn is a gorgeous 80 lb Malinois boy, who is about 5 yrs old. He is a very smart boy with lots of energy, and VERY talkative. Finn likes to remind his foster dad when it's time to eat, get up, and other routine activities. He is a very talkative, expressive boy, very well potty /kennel trained & current on shots & neutered. His foster dad loves him dearly but feels that Finn would love to have more time with his very own special person as opposed to sharing him with many other dogs. Finn is a big boy, and,due to his size, would not be good with small kids. Finn would be best as an only dog, no cats or small dogs. He is a great boy, beautiful and smart boy. Pls email for an applic to [email protected]

For those of you who remember Bella little puppy that was thrown out on one of our coldest snowy days and left to die here is her story as of today. It just totally warms my heart.
Linda Hall Bella is our sunshine. The most lovable and smart doggie in the world. After school the kids play outside and she stays with them the whole time. She weighs about 25lbs and was the talk of the veterinarian clinic when she was there. She has spent many hours with the firefighters when daddy goes to work. Currently we are training her to become a service dog. Stop-Drop-and Roll. Our goal is to have her go to schools with the firefighters when they do fire prevention week and other community service programs. She is extremely smart and responds to multiple commands. We are blessed. Thank you for this blessing.

STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY in Hot Spring and Garland Counties (Malvern and Hot Springs, AR)
We are an all-volunteer animal welfare group that works tirelessly rescuing pets from the high-kill city shelter in Malvern, AR. We also rescue abused, neglected, abandoned and owner surrendered pets in both Hot Spring & Garland Counties. We re-home as many of them as possible ourselves or search for other "no kill" rescue groups from around the country who are willing to take pets from out of their areas to assist in re-homing. Not one treatable pet has lost its life in the Malvern shelter since late 2011, due to the tireless efforts and awesome dedication of the volunteers at Stop Animal Cruelty. For SAC volunteers, rescuing is a way of life it’s not just a trend. It’s not just the right thing to do it’s who we are.
