Now that I’ve taken the steps to make the muzzle high value, I’m working on duration and making onyx feel comfortable wearing it for a bit longer this is not something to be rushed. It could take weeks for your dog to be comfortable.

Doing some muzzle training with three month old onyx he may not need a muzzle in the future, but this is a great game that you can play. If you do need it in the future for the vet, groomer or possibly around children, the dog is happy to wear it, and there will be no negative association.

This is Lil Sammy. His mother couldn’t take them to the dog park because all he would do was run up and down the fence barking at every dog and car that went by. We’ve been working on recall and the little guy is doing great. His mother can now call him back no matter what goes by.

If your dog is breaking out of a wire crate, you need to change the crate and up the value. This is a dog that I’m working on that with. Seems to be going well.

This is my first lesson with this client and her dog. Her dog was pulling, barking and lunging on a leash, while using a prong collar. This is a perfect example of the results of someone buying a training tool and isn’t properly educated on how do use it. In the first clip she is building frustration by allowing the dog to pull against a prong. The purpose of a prong is to give direction. The first clip shows no direction or understanding by her or the dog . The second clip is after about 45 minutes of going over how to properly use a couple tools. The dog is now learning to walk with her. This is the start to repairing the relationship between owner and dog so, walks can be fair and enjoyable for both. She is making the commitment to communicate effectively with her dog.

This is Moby! I’ve been working with him and his humans for a few weeks. He has been learning basic commands, recall, leash manners and staying on the place board. He spent a week with me and we worked on staying on place with distractions. I had one of my dogs out on the couch, while he was on place. He did so well that he fell asleep!

Willow is an 11 month old lab. Her family reached out to me because they just couldn’t keep her from rushing through the front door pulling on a leash and settling when anybody was around. I’ve worked with everybody in the family and they’re happy that somebody can come to the door without Willow going absolutely crazy. If they continue what I’ve shown them it will get better and better, day one this dog would’ve already been pushing me out of the front door.

This is Moby. He is an eight month old puppy. I was contacted by his owners because he would jump on people, pulled on the leash, and was highly distracted by just about anything. They have a newborn baby. This is from our second lesson and we are working on stability on walks with the stroller. He is making great progress.
