Phoenix's bigger sister Alula has arrived for training so both got to have much playtime and we're very happy to be reunited! Alula is much like Phoenix was when she arrived last week and needs a little bit of confidence building but is a super sweet and lovable girl and a tad more shy than Phoenix but is a quick learner and loves to please! I love to do the slow motion videos there are so much fun! They are tired after running around like crazies lol. Enjoy! π€π₯°πΆπΆ

Clover is a 5 year old Coonhound that is here for our 3 week adult board and train. She is a huge puller on the leash, barker and owners have had a difficult time walking her with any distractions because she pulls so hard and goes crazy barking because she wants to say hello to other dogs on walks and they're a little embarrassed over her antics so they'd like her to walk better and be more focused on handler and not go crazy with the pulling and barking as well as to stop countersurfing. Don't worry, Clover, in 3 weeks, mom and dad are going to be in disbelief on how amazing you can be! Stay tuned!

Out here on a field trip with Shay enjoying this beautiful weather and our girls have joined the volunteer trash clean up to help preserve and keep our state parks clean and safe for the animals and humans. They make us so proud! We always practice "no trace" when we go hiking or camping.
Charlie showing off his shaped loose leash heel with pace variation and then working into an advanced send away to place then into a down on place with duration and distance created. Charlie loves to work and we have been having so much fun together! π€ Hope you enjoy our little video!

Carl just got dropped off for his 3 week board and train. Carl is a 1yr old pit mix. Owners had signed him up with another company and when they went to drop off the trainer was quick to come around the vehicle and he jumped up and bit the trainer. Then then refused to accept him into their program leaving Carl's Owners to search for help.
They reached out to us a couple months ago and we discussed muzzle conditioning to prevent any future incidents and behaviors. This also allows owners to safely take him out and ease stress which can feed onto the dog. It's crucial for handlers to be relaxed and in control while also being fair and being a good advocate for the dog to teach them what behaviors are acceptable and not acceptable. Carl is going to require a lot of structure and consistency after training still and I will be teaching them how to manage Carl and his behaviors to help his build confidence and relax. He is a very uptight and nervous boy as you can see at immediate dropoff. He can seem "protective" but it is actually fear and he resource guards mom.
It's important to understand how to properly manage behaviors as well as teaching owners how to handle their dog and situations in public places, guest coming into the home etc. Dogs with behavioral issues is never a quick fix. It is 100% up to owners to follow through with instructions that we provide them with. We sometimes get clients that clearly understand or "act like" understand then never actually do what we instructed. As trainers, we cannot go home with owners so when we accept certain cases we set an immediate standard and how the process works and that there will be continued homework for some time after the dog completes training (given age, how long behaviors have been going on and amount of incidents and severity).
As a trainer that specializes in behavioral issues I (Sarah) pour my heart and soul into these dogs. So when I get a client I've gone above and beyond for and they want to not d
Ziva showing off her perfected loose leash heel with pace variation. ππΌπ₯³ Absolutely LOVE this dog! She is so smart and eager to please!
Though she is hairless and beautiful she does require lotion daily to ensure her skin doesn't get dried out. She absolutely loves when it's pampering time and loves her booty rubbed. She is the absolute cutest!
We are taking full advantage of today's beautiful weather to train! We lost a few big trees to include blocking our private drive the other day. So thankful for these warmer days! ππ½ π₯³
Get out there and train today!!

Finn 1 year English Labrador Retriever- 3 Week Board and Train - Before and After Training Video
π Finn's Field Trip to Petsmart! π
We embarked on an exciting field trip to Petsmart, and Finn was nothing short of amazing. Amidst the bustling aisles, filled with all sorts of intriguing smells and sights, Finn stayed focused and responsive.
From the moment we stepped in, Finn was on his best behavior, tackling each command with enthusiasm and precision. Whether it was a 'sit', 'place', or 'heel', he did it all flawlessly, even with the added challenge of new distractions around every corner. π
Finn's ability to remain calm and obedient, despite the exciting environment, shows just how much he has grown and learned. His hard work and our consistent training are truly paying off!
