If you’re thinking of adopting a forever furry friend this holiday season, Santa Paws could deliver your new pet to your home Christmas morning! Visit the Prince William County Animal Services Bureau to find out more information!

From December 21st to December 24th, we invite you to visit our shelter and adopt one of our animals. If the chosen pet is eligible for release, meaning it has been spayed or neutered, Santa Paw and his elves will deliver your new furry companion to your home on Christmas morning. Please note that all standard adoption procedures apply.

Delivery is limited to residents of Prince William County, the City of Manassas, or Manassas Park. Qualifying animals for delivery include dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. ✨Happy National Cookie Day!✨

No better day than National Cookie Day to spoil your best friend! Here is a quick and easy peanut butter dog biscuit recipe you can whip up with items you probably already have in your pantry:

🍪 1 cup whole wheat flour
🍪 1/3 cup peanut butter (PLEASE ENSURE IT IS XYLITOL-FREE PEANUT BUTTER)
🍪 1/2 cup of puréed pumpkin

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl. Once they are mixed well, place the dough on a sheet of parchment, add a second sheet on top, and then roll the dough out to your desired thickness. Cut into squares (or use cookie cutters) and place the pieces on a nonstick or foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20-35 minutes depending on the thickness of the dough and the desired amount of crunch in the cookie.

We can officially say these cookies are picky dog approved! Let us know if you bake these for your pup!

With Thanksgiving just a few days away, we wanted to share some pet safety tips to keep in mind! If you think your pet has ingested something toxic, call pet poison control immediately.

Also, please take note of our holiday hours this coming week. We will be open 8am-2pm on Wednesday (11/27) and closed on Thanksgiving (11/28) to allow our staff to celebrate with their loved ones. We will be open again Friday morning (11/29) for our normal business hours.
