6 month old F7 Mini Nubian looking for new girls. Blue eyed sweetheart.

From start to finish. Probably could have sent them to freezer camp sooner, because some are hefty. But all in all, so far we are ok with the new breed. The true test will be when they are on a plate.

And of course load up is never uneventful. At least we keep vet wrap in the barn, and this one about matches my skin tone.

For those of you close, know there's been some changes.

This year we decided to let the garden fallow. Looking at it today, mother nature can be absolutely beautiful.

Also, carrots are a struggle. These, that I planted last year and didn't sprout, are in full bloom this year. I know there's a medicinal benefit to this plant, and you bet I'll be pulling out my book on it when I get home.

My apologies for not being at market this year. Thank you to the ones that support us on "the side" and here's to hoping I can balance this soon.

As always, know where your food is grown, know your farmer, and again, thank you for supporting local.

We are going to offer our meat birds by pre-sale only this year. Unfortunately, there is NO time to think about this. There is only one day open for shipping and it's closer than I was hoping for.

Processing has gone up as well, so unfortunately, our price per pound will reflect that.

Processing will be scheduled approximately about the 2nd to 3rd week in July.

There are packaging options, and those can be discussed via messenger.

Price per pound is $4.24, and you MUST get your count to me in no later than May 1st.

Don't hesitate!

We are looking for empty cartons, again. Should you have some laying around, please please drop at the shop on 88. We go through 20+ a week. If we end up having to buy new we won't be able to keep our farm eggs at their current price. TIA!

We welcomed this little peanut last Saturday. She is a blue eyed, F7 (it's a generation thing for registration) perfect little lady.

Our granddaughter will be showing her at the Kalkaska County Fair this summer, so she gets the honor of naming her.

We will be at the Mancelona Farmers Market this week. NO BAKED GOODS, but there will be plenty of garden goodies. Buckets of Roma tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, pumpkins, red and green peppers corn stalks and lots of eggs. Stop by from 2-6 and see what all the farmers fall bounty has available!
