East of Equinox Farm

The farm underpass is gone. Built of marble and deeded to the farm as a cattle pass under the railroad in 1840, the horses have used it to get to the pasture on the other side of the tracks. For nearly two centuries it has survived the rigors of heavy rail traffic. It will be replaced with a more modern concrete box culvert. One of the few remaining farm underpasses in the state.

We had another c**t born this morning by Equinox Rock Star x Equinox Insatiable. That makes 7 c**ts and 1 filly so far this year. Last year we had 7 fillies and 1 c**t, so you could say that it's even at 8 and 8 over the two years.

It was a fun Mother's Day at East of Equinox Farm. Collaborating with Damion Cassan, the yearling filly Equinox Intuition became a Mother's Day gift for Megan Beattie Cassan. Happy Mother's Day Megan!

We have enjoyed a great connection with Angie Maple and Black Rose Morgans over the years, and the connection continues with Angie's recent acquisition of the 2023 filly Equinox Unchained Melody (Equinox Rock Star x Equinox Charlize). We can't imagine a better home for her. Thank you and congratulations Angie on your excellent selection.

There were eight foals born at East of Equinox Farm this year and seven of them are fillies. The eighth born is a bay filly (Townsend Mark the Legacy x Equinox Risqué). This filly is the second foal from Risqué (aka Gypsy) who is owned and loved by Yasimine Stoner.
