Doodle Bug opened in 2008 and I was a loyal customer until Elizabeth Yackel decided a lifestyle change was in order. I purchased the business from her and have enjoyed many wonderful years getting to know you and your pups!

Brian and I both lost our fathers in 2021 and we have decided to spend more time with family and do more fun things. I’ve made the decision to close Doodle Bug Day Care for new bookings.

If you are already booked for a future date and we have not chatted, please contact me ASAP.

Thank you for trusting us with your fur babies! We’ve had a blast and I will miss them so much. Please keep in touch. I will need updates on what’s happening with them❤️❤️❤️

Some things are hard to post. When you say it out loud it’s real. My dad has been treated for heart failure for over 10 years! My heart is broken to say this, he is now on hospice. We went to a doctors appointment in Franklin last week and this week he is unable to stand.

I love all the dogs that come to visit me! This breaks my heart too, but for now I not taking any new bookings until after Nov. if you are currently booked I will be happy to keep your dogs, but until we figure out the next steps and see what our new normal is like, I must slow down. Doodle Bug Day Care is not closed! Just have to take a break.

I love all my doggy friends and it would break my heart for any of them to be lost! Please snap a few pictures of your dogs just in case they get spooked this time of year!

Good morning! I wanted to let everyone know Doodle Bug is still open. I have intentionally slowed down during the Covid pandemic, and it seems a few customers thought I’d closed.

We are taking some time away in September and will have very limited spots available.

We are booking for fall break, and have a limited number of spots open. Can’t wait to see all my dog friends!!

This sweet dog can’t catch a break!!! She was dumped in the backwoods of TN, by his so called “owner”. We rescued this sweet girl to give her a second chance at life, the life she deserve to live inside a loving home. Unfortunately we have discovered she is heartworm positive. She will need to go through Heartworm treatment before she can find her FURever home. The Heartworm treatment cost close to $500, we are hoping to raise $350 to start hertreatment. Ever dollar counts!!!!

Welcome back world! Doodle Bug has been (mostly) closed for the pandemic. The downtime has given us an opportunity for reflection and as a result, our hours are changing:

Monday thru Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
Saturday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
Sunday closed for drop off and pick up
All drop offs/pick ups are by appointment only. If you are not going to make your appointment, please call/text. We require a 30 minute "heads up" confirmation for drop off/pick up.

***Many wonder why an appointment is needed. We rarely have any issues with dog arguments at Doodle Bug because I observe play patterns and personalities of your pups. I have a few play areas and try hard to group the dogs to have the MOST FUN! Introducing new situations can be too stimulating for some dogs and the last thing we want is someone getting hurt. Giving me time to move dogs around and thin the herd keeps everyone happy.

Thank you for trusting us to love your pups! We can't wait to see those wagging tails.

I know travel is restricted and my books are WIDE OPEN but one day life will begin again and you’ll get to go have fun! In the mean time bid on a $75.00 gift cert to Doodle Bug and help some local pups. You can sip your beverage of choice (good lord at the people who are secret coffee haters😱. I’ve been truly shocked) and dream of all the vacation you’re going to take!! We can’t wait to see your babies!!
