Here are some effective tricks to keep your dog calm and comfortable:

🏠 Create a Safe Space
* Set up a quiet, cozy area away from windows (e.g., a bathroom or interior closet).
* Use familiar bedding, toys, and a piece of your clothing for comfort.
* Play calming music or white noise to drown out fireworks.

🔊 Sound Desensitization (Before the 4th)
* In the weeks leading up, play firework sounds at a low volume while offering treats and praise.
* Gradually increase volume to help them get used to the sounds.

🐾 Use Calming Aids
*Pheromone diffusers or sprays (like Adaptil) mimic natural calming chemicals.
*CBD treats or calming chews(check with your vet first).
*ThunderShirt - This snug-fitting vest provides gentle pressure, like a comforting hug.

🐾 Keep Them Inside
* Walk your dog early in the day before celebrations begin.
* During peak fireworks, keep doors and windows shut to reduce noise and escape risks.
* Ensure your dog is microchipped and wears a collar with up-to-date ID tags.

🧠 Distract and Engage
* Give a frozen Kong or treat puzzle to keep their mind busy.
* Engage in training or nose games inside during noisy periods.

🧘 Stay Calm Yourself
* Dogs pick up on your emotions. Speak calmly and act relaxed to help them feel secure.
