Coyotes are more active and territorial from January to March due to mating. Their increased activity could pose a risk to your pets. Here’s how you can protect them:

1️⃣ Keep Pets Supervised: Avoid letting them outside unattended.
2️⃣ Use Secure Collars and Leashes: Opt for non-slip martingale collars or harnesses.
3️⃣ Stay Prepared: Carry a whistle or stick for safety when walking your dog.
4️⃣ Avoid Night Walks: Coyotes are most active during dawn, dusk, and nighttime.

December is a busy birthday month for BFAH!

Mikayla has been at BFAH for a little over the year, but if you've had the opportunity to meet her, you probably assume she's been part of our family for much longer. Her personality shines bright, and her attention to detail is admirable. She has a phenomenal memory and strives to give everyone a great experience, whether it's face-to-face or on the phone.

We're a couple of days late, but nevertheless, we wanted to acknowledge a very special birthday at Best Friends Animal Hospital!

When he's not busy playing soccer or spending time with his family, he's at the office working hard to ensure each one of our clients and patients has the best experience possible. His attention to detail and thoroughness are admirable, his sense of humor is top tier and we're so lucky to have him as part of our team.

Secure collar with current ID tags as well as a recent photo of your pet and microchip information (be sure it's up to date)
Leash
Crate, safety harness or other restraining device
Litter box or p**p bags
Food, water and snacks
Food and water dishes
Medications and copies of written prescriptions
Vaccination records, especially rabies certificate
List of veterinary offices and emergency animal hospitals in the area to which you’re traveling
First-aid kit
Familiar blankets and toys
