Thank you to everyone who donated after we asked for some help 🧡 We are overjoyed at the response & now our pantry is back in working order! ✨

As of today we are looking for litter & wet cat food for our in-house kitties who are picky eaters (specifically FF or Friskies)

Jack & Annie are Ying & Yang ☯ they are a bonded pair of adult pups who were adopted out from us years ago, but recently had to come back when their owner had moved.

Jack is crouching up to 8 years old, weighing 55 lbs & has energy for days! His younger sister Annie, is 5 1/2 years old, weighing about 53 lbs is the more tame of the two. They are both large mixed breeds & are required to go home together 🥎⚾️

They have been waiting, seeing the other individual dogs get adopted one by one. They take every walk together, sleep together each night, but do better when they eat their meals apart.

Jack & Annie both:
- Are housebroken
- Love Car Rides
- Have lived with kids in the past & done well
- Are good with other dogs & meeting them
- Will both protect you from skunks, snakes & porcupines🦨
- Will snuggle you until you fall asleep
- Will get you into walking for fun

They have been available for a few weeks & have gotten no interest so far. We would love to change that! Come & see them tomorrow, during our Open Hours from 12-4pm. They would be excited to meet someone who loves them 🥹

Meet Bella & Millie - SEEKING NH FOSTER
FOSTER NEEDED - (New Hampshire only)

Meet Bella (13) and Millie (12), a bonded pair of senior mixed-breed ladies who have already overcome so much and are now looking for a soft place to land. Found together on the streets—scared, flea-ridden, and nearly hairless—these two have proven to be nothing short of miraculous in their recovery journey. Despite their rough past, they radiate love, loyalty, and resilience.

Millie is the sparkplug of the pair. Don’t let her age fool you—she’s still got plenty of pep in her step. She loves going for long walks, splashing through streams, playing tug, and reminding you (frequently!) that it's treat time. She’s curious, spunky, and always ready for the next little adventure.

Bella is the calm, gentle half of this pair. She’s a quiet sweetheart who thrives on connection. Her favorite things? Snuggling close, resting her head against your chest for soft rubs, and curling up on cozy beds. She enjoys slow, sniff-filled walks and tasty snacks at her own unhurried pace.

Both girls require regular medicated baths to help with their skin healing—don’t worry, they’re champs about it and absolutely love the toweling-off part afterward. Bella does need some help getting around and must be lifted at times, so fosters must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs.

We’re looking for a committed, loving foster home that can give these girls the care and comfort they deserve. Fosters must be able to bring them back and forth to the shelter for medical appointments as they continue to heal.

Bella and Millie have spent their whole lives looking out for each other. Now they just need someone to look out for them. If you have a quiet home, a soft heart, and room in your life for two incredible seniors, these girls will repay you with all the love in the world.

Meet our sweet, senior lady, Chia 🌸 She is 15 years young & has a very sweet soul.

Chia was returned to us last month after being adopted from us in 2011. Her owner can no longer care for her, which left Chia feeling alone & confused at such a delicate age. 🥺

Chia has hyperthyroidism & takes her medicine in her food like a good girl. She is a very delicate lady who has been pretty shut down since being here with us at the shelter.

We try & get Chia to enjoy the little things, but she really is just an older, senior girl who wants comfy places to sleep in the sun. She would be SO HAPPY to spend the rest of her days in a nice, quiet, loving home where she can remain un-bothered & quack the day away.

🎇Updated PSA🎇 - **THANK YOU! We got a lot of donations in & encourage them to keep coming. Now we have some food on the shelves & we were able to supply our pantry families today with what they needed! You made this happen!**

Our Pet Food Pantry is almost OUT of dry dog & cat food for our community pets. We are asking if you can donate ANY of these items off of our updated wish list, it would be so helpful!

We have our Pet Food Pantry Program available every Tuesday & Saturday. In order to have more supplies for this Tuesday's order, we need some donations in!

🚨Our biggest needs for our Pet Food Pantry Program are: Dry Dog Food (large bags & small bags) and Dry Cat Food (large bags & small bags)

Our shelter dogs also are in some SERIOUS need of treats! We utilize so many treats here on a daily basis in enrichment, training, walking, etc. 🦴🍗🍖

If you remember Bear, formally known as Sunfish when at FMAS, get ready to smile! He has been flourishing in this home over the past 6 months & we are so glad to hear it! After seeing them in our shelter sitting for months, adoptions like these truly heal our hearts. We are so happy for you, Becca & Bear 🐾

"Well, we’ve had Bear for a little over 6 months now, which doesn’t seem possible! He’s doing great. Still working on stranger danger and a few other things. Jenn has been amazing and has given me lots of tricks and idea to use with him. He is just the goofiest dog and makes us laugh every day with his constant zoomies, silly faces, and silly sleeping positions. I am a very good girl, once I trust you 🩷 I am a bit selective of my friends but once I pick you as part of my pack, I am the biggest snuggle bug there is!

I am a shy girl at first and really working on my confidence. My friends tell me that I am a social butterfly with other dogs & would LOVE to be in a home with another confident canine friend!

Mosh Pit is a true testament to her name! She is loud & proud ball of energy⚡️

This young girl is filled with energy. She is about 1 1/2 years old. She is just about 50lbs, and thinks she is a lap dog. All she wants to do is be outside enjoying the elements 🎾

She is finally available so we can share this fun play date we had with her the other week when our heat wave struck. Mosh LOVES the water, and she is such a ham when she swims! 🌊

Her birthday is also the day after Christmas! Do you think she can turn 2 in a household this year?

Independence Day is just around the corner. Please ensure your pets are safe by taking the proper precautions!

If you have dogs or cats, even birds at home, have a plan in place for the fireworks expected this week!
- Ensure microchips are up to date.
- Collars with proper tag information.
- Doors & fences are secured.
- Dogs are not left outside during fireworks or in unfamiliar locations.
- Window screens are secured.
- Ensure bird cages are secured & latched.
- Provide enrichment for your pets.

Our Story

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) Animal Shelter that works with the City of Manchester to help and adopt out the many stray animals in Manchester, New Hampshire. We rely on our community, grants, and events to raise funds to continue helping the community for over 20 years.

Adoption fees are currently as follows: Puppies/Dogs: · Young Puppies (8 weeks through 6 months): $350 · Dogs (7 months through 7 years old): $275 · Senior Dogs (8 years and older): $100 · Seniors for Seniors(Seniors 65+ adopting over 7 yrs): $50 Cats · Kittens ( 8 weeks through 6 months): $140 · Cats (7 months through 7 years old): $95 · Senior Cats (Over 7 years old): $35 · Senior for Seniors (Seniors 65+ adopting over 7 years): $25 Other animals · Rabbits and Ferrets: $60 · Other animal pricing see management --All animals “of age” will have received their rabies & distemper vaccinations and been spayed/neutered prior to being picked up. We have a 100% spay/neuter policy; every animal (including puppies and kittens) are fixed prior to adoption. --Adoption fees are subject to change with or without notice. --All dogs are heartworm tested prior to adoption. --All cats are tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and cats over 6 months are also FIV tested prior to adoption. --All cats and dogs are microchipped before leaving the shelter for their new home.
