"Wow, you humans get to go to the pet store WHENEVER you want?! That is my dream come true! Oh, hello there... I should probably introduce myself... Ahem... my name is Luke.

I was able to go into the car today! My friend Miko said I was the best boy when we went to Petco. Look at how good I am, sitting in front of the toys so patiently.

I can get a little excited when you first enter my kennel ~ I'm just so excited to see you. My friends say, harnessing me for my walk isn't difficult. I settle down as soon as we head for the trail and I know I am going on an adventure. I will keep up right next to you, and I am extra gentle when I take the treat from your hand.

If you are interested in me, please let me know. I would love to hear those magic words.... "Luke, I am your (new) father" "

We will be here until 2:00pm! If you are a part of the veteran community, this would be a great event for you 🇺🇸🦅

Our Pets for Vets Program
1. Fill the adoption application out on our website and check the “I am a veteran” option
2. Applications are reviewed by a staff as normal
3. If the application is approved: we provide
• waived adoption fee
• food & water bowls (if available)
• food (up to 25 pounds)
• leash & collar if a canine
• litter scooper or p**p bags
• toys

We waited 97 days.... Jack (7 y.o) & Annie (5 y.o)

Waiting 97 days for someone to take some interest in us, after being brought back to the shelter. (this isn't our first rodeo)

Waiting 97 days for someone to notice us & say "Well, I don't mind that there's two of them, we have the room"

Waiting 97 days to hear, "I choose them! I don't mind that they are adults!"

For almost 4 months we had to be separated our during meal times & treat times, because we cannot eat together in such a small kennel space.

For almost 4 months, the highlight of our days were the few times we were able to leave the kennels for a nice 25 minute walk.

Then.. on the 97th day.... something happened. One of our friendly, familiar faces brought us home to foster! We couldn't believe it 🥹 was this it? Are we going home?!

Well, not quite. Our foster mom says, we would make the best pair of dogs for any household! We are enjoying our time in a home setting SO much! We love enjoying sunshine in the backyard together.
- Good with kids
- Good with other dogs
-Bonded Pair of adult dogs

Now, it has been a whopping 119 days that Jack & Annie have been waiting for you....

Minerva needs a home 🐅

Minerva is our tigress godness who is itching to climb anything she sees fit. She is a lucky girl who currently has her own space, where she was able to completely unravel and come out of her shell.

Minerva is a lady with a short fuse. We’ve all met a lady like this before… right? She will entyce you in & charm you, wanting pets and love. However, she wants the affection on her terms!

The key to her heart is patience, consistency in playing, treats, and more treats! She is a spider monkey in training and frolics all about her room. Sitting on anything and everything in sight - window-panes, caves, cat towers, tunnels, shelves, she loves them all.

If you are a person with a lot of valuable trinkets on a series of shelves in the home… Minerva will make it her special side quest to demolish all enemies on her shelves. She is such a character and has been with us for quite a while!

Her favorite things are
• playing chase
• Ke$ha music
• temptations treats
• mouse toys
• saying hello to everyone in the lobby
• bird noises
• fresh air from the window.

Our Story

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) Animal Shelter that works with the City of Manchester to help and adopt out the many stray animals in Manchester, New Hampshire. We rely on our community, grants, and events to raise funds to continue helping the community for over 20 years.

Adoption fees are currently as follows: Puppies/Dogs: · Young Puppies (8 weeks through 6 months): $350 · Dogs (7 months through 7 years old): $275 · Senior Dogs (8 years and older): $100 · Seniors for Seniors(Seniors 65+ adopting over 7 yrs): $50 Cats · Kittens ( 8 weeks through 6 months): $140 · Cats (7 months through 7 years old): $95 · Senior Cats (Over 7 years old): $35 · Senior for Seniors (Seniors 65+ adopting over 7 years): $25 Other animals · Rabbits and Ferrets: $60 · Other animal pricing see management --All animals “of age” will have received their rabies & distemper vaccinations and been spayed/neutered prior to being picked up. We have a 100% spay/neuter policy; every animal (including puppies and kittens) are fixed prior to adoption. --Adoption fees are subject to change with or without notice. --All dogs are heartworm tested prior to adoption. --All cats are tested for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and cats over 6 months are also FIV tested prior to adoption. --All cats and dogs are microchipped before leaving the shelter for their new home.
