What goes better together than French fries, a hot-dog & a diet coke?! 🍟🌭🥤

Here we have the most handsome boy, Papas Fritas, dressed as a hot dog for Halloween along with his friend, Hannah, as a diet coke can. Papas had the BEST time meeting you all at our Adoption Event this past weekend! 🌭🎃👻

About Papas!
- 3 years old & about 55lbs
- friendly, people-loving pittie mix who’s ready to find his forever family!
- adores everyone he meets, including kids.
- lived peacefully with cats & could happily share a home with them again. (He’s not hanging with dogs right now, though.)
- knows sit, down, paw, and even sit pretty! He loves to show off his tricks and soak up all the “good boy!” praise that follows.
- travels great in the car,
- loves his stuffies & takes care of them

When he’s not dazzling you with his smarts, he’s probably melting into your lap for scritches and snuggles. He’s incredibly affectionate and doesn’t like to be alone for too long, so he’d be happiest with someone who’s home often to keep him company.

He does need to stay on a prescription urinary diet long term, but he’s a happy, healthy boy who takes it all in stride.

Meet Lulu Lemon 🩷🧡 she has been so patient waiting for someone to love her! She is currently our longest residential small animal ❤️‍🩹

• she is a happy and playful bun!
• she requires regular dental trims ~ every 3 months.
• she is about 3 years old
• she has the softest fur ~ she is working on her social skills with getting brushed.
• she needs a family who is committed to keeping up with her dental care 🦷
• prefers to be the only bunny in her home 🎀
• she loves cuddles, snuggles, zoomies & stretching her legs
• she is smart & loves puzzles & cups

Papucho is asking for a few select items to make this Halloween the BEST one yet.

He says, "I had the best time dressing up in my costume with my friend, Martha! We went to the radio show, which was a treat ~ not a trick! The only thing that could make this day better is a fresh new, interesting toy in my kennel & a yummy snack waiting for me once I'm tucked in for the night"

If you know anything about Papucho the Pumpkin, you know he is a maniac for his treats! He & his friends have been gobbling them up SO fast, we are now running low again 🎃😅

Grab a box of tissues... it's time for Woc's story. 🥺

"It was a cold night in December of 2024, when I saw a warm oasis ahead of me... smelling like fishy goodness. Suddenly, my whole world was torn upside-down, when a LOUD crash happened. I had been humanely trapped in a cage outside, by a caring person, right near Manchester Water Works.

I was petrified. I soiled myself & curled up into the smallest ball I could, waiting to feel safe again. Once I came into the shelter, it took my new friends almost 1 whole month before they could give me a pet with a scratching wand. Slowly, I was learning that these people only want good things for me.🩵

After a few months of decompression, medical care, and rest in the special kitties room, I was able to be placed into a foster home for 6 months. My foster mom says that the entire time I was in foster care, I still was inside of my shell. My foster mom did all of the things to try and get me out of my comfort zone; she let me work at my own pace, gave me space, gave me all of the yummy incentives, and still, I am proving to be more of a "Spirit Cat" ~ this only means that if I choose you to be my person, you mean everything in the world to me. Everything. 🐾

I am not doing my best here, I am really shut down. I would love if someone could understand that adopting me, means giving me relief. I would love to be in a home where you = my sanctuary. Giving me a plush bed, my own room, own litterbox, ample food & water, is really all I am asking for. Please consider applying for me, it truly would be a dream come true for me." - Woc 🧶

Happy National Cat Day Everyone! We hope all the fellow cat parents & purr-fect families take a moment to appreciate their fur-babies today.

We currently have 16 cats who are Available for Adoption & another 88 cats who are currently receiving our care either here at the shelter, or in a foster home.

Scoville is an 11 year old lady who arrived to us in August of this year, after receiving life saving care at the emergency vet, VECM.

She was found in someone's yard, extremeley lethargic, asking for help. It has taken her a few months to learn that here, she is safe & loved. She is a shy & nervous lady, and does well with farmiliar friends who visit her each week.

Scoville is not too fond of loud noises or barking dogs. She is on a special diet (Hill's Z/D) to help sustain her allergies. If you do have other cats in the home, you would need to ensure Scoville is only getting her proper diet.

Come & see this sweet girl during our open hours! Wednesday’s, Saturdays & Sundays from 12:00pm-4:00pm.

On Sunday, November 9th, we will be at the front of the Bedford Handmade Craft Fair at the Bedford High School from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. We are so honored to once again be gifted proceeds from this event, to us here at FMAS!

Come & see our Bake Sale before entering the fair! Last year, you all blessed us with so much love, we had almost nothing left from our bake sale! We hope to have the same luck this year. Our volunteers are already hustling & bustling, thinking up some sweet treats for you all. Will we see you on November 9th? 🍬🧁🥧
