The Nomograph is back! Gosh, these guys are fast! They received the sample Monday and I already have results. Interesting stuff! The most important point, I suppose - GaGa's vaccines from 2020 are STILL on board and will help to protect her puppies.

I believe strongly that less is more when it comes to vaccinations, chemicals, additives, etc. I am a raw feeder. I typically don't vaccinate after puppyhood, and I prefer to utilize as many holistic, naturopathic remedies as possible.

Last week, when we got our ultrasound, GaGa also had blood drawn for me to send off to perform a Nomograph at the University of Wisconsin. In a nutshell, the nomograph will give us a more customized vaccine program based specifically on the antibodies mama gives her pups. I'll share the report when I get it.

On this National Dog Day, it seems as good an occasion as any to announce officially that GaGa has been bred. The timing of how this all came about makes this entire experience all the more special and somehow predestined.

Back in July, I made the last minute decision to enter her in *one last agility trial* as we were on such a hot streak and I wanted to get as far as we possibly could before our pup-ternity leave. There was the slightest risk she could have come into season and interrupted that trial, but it was ever so slight. As luck would have it, she waited until the Tuesday after the trial. We began testing her progesterone the following week, and as we watched the numbers, it began to look more and more like the right time to breed would be on - get this - my birthday.

How very special to have my very first litter *hopefully!* conceived on my birthday?! Tomorrow marks just one week into this interminable month-long wait to confirm, and I'm just on the edge of my seat waiting.

So Happy National Dog Day from us to you.

Things are getting real, y'all! GaGa just came into season yesterday. Her first progesterone test will be Monday. I'm just over here channeling the fertility Gods and praying for lots of eggs to drop when the time comes. 🙏

Planning takes on many forms - including setting up the whelping box, making sure assembly is easy, and making sure our pig rail system will work. All put away again now, but feeling confident for October when it will be needed.

GaGa wonders why I keep asking her to pose in this thing. 🤔
