Health testing is an important part of responsible breeding. While we don't have tests for everything and cannot predict what tests will not show, it gives us information. A part of preservation breeding is knowing as much information as possible about the dogs in your program and in your line. Information, as they say, is power.
GaGa has completed all of her health testing (hips, eyes, thyroid, elbows, and advanced cardiac) and carries the title of CHIC. This information is readily available via the OFA website for anyone to review.
Note: When getting health tests done, the dog is required to be microchipped and is scanned against the records presented. This is a verification process against individuals attempting to create false records for a dog.
