A few photos from freestyle before the saddle slipped. It was off to a good start, Hope was doing really well in front of the crowd prior to the incident. It’s a bummer we weren’t able to showcase everything that we had planned, but still got a few good photos from it❤️

I may try to put it all together and get a video of it while I have Hope over these next few months. Hope was so good about everything I wanted to include!

Final Mustang Magic update 🪄

Hope and I came out as the champions of the preliminaries earning us a spot in the freestyle finals last night. After our bobbles in compulsory, we were sitting in 8th going into freestyle.

Our freestyle had started off pretty good with minimal issues but unfortunately halfway through my saddle slipped. As soon as the saddle started slipping I jumped off the side. All things considered, Hope handled it really well and apart from being jazzed running around the arena. I was so concerned about her, but thankfully she is all good. No one was hurt and she went back into the arena in hand for the awards and auction.

Now for the awesome part of the night… the auction! I’m so excited to share that Hope was purchased by some friends up in Wisconsin who I used to ride with on drill team. She will be coming back to TN with me for a few additional months of training before heading off to her new home🥰🥰

I’m so grateful to this incredible mare for how much try she had out in the arena for me this weekend. I really wasn’t sure how she was going to handle this atmosphere but she took it all in stride!

Our trail run from this morning. I would have posted sooner, but my reception was terrible at the barns.

I was thrilled with Hope’s performance in this class. There was lots of greenery around and the infamous canter pinwheel. Hope was a little forward but was listening and over all was really on my cues.

I just got scores for this class and we came in 1st! So proud of this special mustang. I will be posting our compulsory run shortly.

Second class done! I couldn’t have been happier with Hope in this class. Of course there’s always things to nitpick, but she was on my cues nicely for the most part. We did a ton of transition work to make sure she was with me before going in.

We got results from our 1st class which turned out better than I was expecting earning a 9th place. And in our 2nd class we placed 1st!

Tomorrow we start at 9:00 AM with trail, followed by compulsories at 1:00.

First class is over… this was probably the worst handling class I’ve had 😅

Hope was going well in the warm up pen but as soon as she saw the first horse go into the arena she was on high alert. Our pattern itself wasn’t that bad, but she was fresh in the roundpen and didn’t want to be caught. Which is not at all like she is at home, she normally catches you. In this environment she was definitely distracted!

Nevertheless, we are on to the next class this afternoon!

Hope and I made it to Fort Worth for the 2025 Mustang Magic🪄 🪄🪄

We checked in at 8:00 AM this morning, got all unpacked and settled in. I did a groundwork session, then Hope had a PEMF session before I rode her this afternoon. She was really good and handled the coliseum better than I was expecting. Of course there weren’t any crowds in the stands or anything, but she was such a good girl.

Tomorrow morning we have our first class at 9:00. Hope and I are 2nd to go in the handling & conditioning class. Then we have maneuvers at 1:00 where we are 1st to go😅. I somehow managed to draw going 1-3 in all of my classes this weekend!

Wish us luck! 🍀 🍀 More updates to come on each of our classes.

The only impossible journey is the one you never began ✨

I have exciting news to share that Raven and I will be joining the North Central Liberty Horse Club - ILHA at the Midwest Horse Fair in April! I’m really excited to be able to join them and have the opportunity to help showcase the beauty of liberty work.

One of my biggest goals for this year is to start showing Raven in ILHA with our end goal hopefully being competing at their championship show in October. Raven and I have a lot of fun playing at libety, and we have done some pattern work, but I really want to hone in and see what we can accomplish!

New year, new horse 😉

I’ve been keeping this one quiet for a couple of months now, so I think it’s about time for an introduction. This is Sprite 🥤 She’s a now 4 year old mare from Sheepshead, OR who was picked up back on October 1st as a prospect for the 2025 Mustang Champions shows in Las Vegas and Lexington.

Sprite has had an easy start to the domestic life with just some light and easy groundwork. Seeing as she just turned 4, I wanted to keep her work load light and give her plenty of time to grow and work on adjusting to the domestic life.

This mare is the definition of curiosity killed the cat. She is pretty fearful of new things, to the point of literally trembling, but she is at the same time so curious about it she can’t help but check it out. Once she checks it out, she isn’t all that fearful after all but she definitely is an over thinker to start 🤣. I’m really enjoying this mare and I’m excited to get her going undersaddle. Her work loading is picking up this month, and will really kick in after the magic in 2 weeks!

Sprite is going to be available! So keep her in mind if you’re looking for a sweet, curious mare💛💛

What a year 2024 was! 🎊🍾

I successfully competed in 3 different mustang makeovers, had some great clients, and picked up a 4th makeover horse for the magic. Of course there was lots of behind the scenes at home with some personal horses as well! I’m grateful for some great horses and people!

Here’s to seeing what 2025 has in store.

I tried out english on Hope for the first time yesterday. She was a total champ. I love how game she was for trying out jumping. Her form over the 2’ fence isn’t anything to brag about, but that’s because she was treating it as though it was an elevated canter pole 🤣

Hope is such an athletic and willing mare! We down to just 22 days before we will be on the road to Texas.

The end of a journey means the start of another 💛

My journey with Jimin was one of my all time favorites with a competition mustang. He is one of the sweetest horses with a heart of gold. When I picked him out back in April he was not my top pick due to his smaller size. He may be small, but he sure is mighty! I’m excited for the future of this amazing boy.

Since I finished Kookie’s journey video this week, I felt I needed to get Jimin’s done as well. I hope you enjoy!

I finally put together a video of Kookie’s journey from wild to the Mustang Classic. Looking back at some of the first training sessions we had together, he really came such a long way.

Following the competition, Kookie went up north to IL where he has found an incredible home. A little update from his new owners:

Took Kookie out on trail today ba****ck and he was fantastic. I’m so obsessed with him. He fit right in with all my girls. You were right when you said nothing phases him. My one mare keeps trying to rial him up and he’s not giving her the time of day and I think he’s really calmed My halflinger mare down.

It makes my heart happy to hear how much they love him and how well he is doing 🥰

Hope’s right around 20 rides now and she is starting to show some real potential. We have been working on body control, cruising around at all of her gaits, and her stops. Her stops are probably her favorite thing so far 👌🏻

She was not a fan of the neighbor throwing a frisbee across the street. She was pretty sure that was going to kill us. But, other than that, I haven’t found anything that she’s been super fearful of. And we did work down from the scary man in the field.

Hope is going to make someone a really nice horse. Don’t forget she’ll be available in January!

Brie is ready and looking for her forever home💛

I purchased Brie back in July after the Franklin makeover. For those who don’t know, Brie was my 2020 Ft Worth makeover horse. She was one of the scaredest mustangs I have ever done, so she was very special to me. We didn’t compete the greatest since she was so fearful showing in a coliseum of that size, so she didn’t show everyone her full potential. She sold in the auction and stayed in Tx.

Flash forward to this year she became available, and due to how important she was to me, I decided to buy her back and put some time into her to refresh her skills. Now, she is ready to look for her perfect home!

Brie is a 10 year old mare from Maverick Medicine, NV. She is 14 hands tall.

She is going to be best suited for someone who wants a pony with a go button. She can be a little sassy but she’s not crazy. Brie shows potential in the English disciplines, especially given her go button. But, she is cute western as well! She is walk trot canter, has a side pass and leg yield. And a green flying lead change. She is not the bravest, so she needs a brave rider to give her the courage she needs.

Please message me for more information!

The cool crisp air feels amazing. I’m loving the fall temperatures 🍁

Hope is progressing quite nicely undersaddle. She had the weekend off while I was visiting family, but she was a rockstar in our first ride back. I was fully expecting a least a little sass when she bronced with the saddle, but she couldn’t have been better walk, trot, canter undersaddle. She is really starting to grasp steering with a go button.

Hope is a 4 yr old, 15 hand mustang mare. She will be available in January via competitive bid at the 2025 Mustang Magic!
