Potato Chip Party! With our adorable Jazzy J and Juan.
Jasmine was rescued with her pal, Moe, back in October of 2019. She is a little ball of cuteness.
Juan, rescued this year, is currently recovering from urinary issues (which is why he has a beautiful “blue flower” on his head).
Jazzy J is happy to be on her own and hasn’t really bonded with anyone in the main herd. So, we decided to pair her with Juan to keep him company while he heals.
Well, the rest is history! They are the best of friends and share meals, snacks, and smooches every day!
‼️ MOE UPDATE ‼️Our brave little guy is still at MSU being treated, but he’s on the road to recovery! Of course, the veterinary staff and students are in love with him! He’s doing very well and we hope he’ll be home soon! #moe #mo #gizmo #msu #msuveterinary #goat #farmanimalrescue #animals #animalcare #veganfortheanimals

🤍🖤🤍 Meet our sweet Daisy Belle! 🤍🖤🤍
Many of you have followed Daisy Belle since she came to SASHA Farm in the winter of 2017. She was only 13 days old when this tiny Holstein calf arrived. She began her life on a dairy farm in Michigan, born much smaller than a typical calf, and thought unable to one day reproduce and produce milk. So, because it was believed that she provided no value to the farm where she was born, she was discarded into the corner of a stall, and left to die.
It was a miracle that she survived! A very compassionate person became aware of her plight and did everything possible to find her a safe and loving home at a sanctuary. SASHA Farm immediately stepped forward to welcome her with open arms and provide a forever home for this small and innocent calf.
Many of you have seen her videos. Despite all that she has been through, the past is long gone from her existence, and she only lives for the joy she feels every single day. Daisy Belle is very playful, and will engage any friendly face who wants to play with her. Humans and animals of all species are her immediate friends.
👉🏼 Did you know? 🤔 Turkeys change colors based on their mood. Blue and red means Barry (the adorable male in this video) is very excited and/or happy. Notice how his snood (the appendage hanging over his beak area) is very droopy, which indicates he’s relaxed and confident. 🦃
🚨Urgent! We need your help, SASHA friends! 🚨
Our beloved Moe is currently at MSU Vet Clinic. He has a large mass on his chest that needs to be removed immediately. Our amazing veterinarians have been visiting weekly, sometimes more, to assist us in managing his condition. However, this is a very strange case and Moe now needs an urgent procedure and intensive aftercare.
All contributions will help us cover his medical expenses and further treatment. Any amount helps!
Thank you for supporting our sweet Moe and please send him your well wishes. Stay tuned for updates!

🚨 NEW RESCUE UPDATE: MAUI🚨
Our new resident, Maui the potbellied pig, is a very sweet, but cautious 6-year-old male. Sadly, due to the owner falling ill, he wasn’t given the proper love and attention, rarely had his basic needs met, and received minimal medical care.
Maui lived mostly in a small pen, with a tiny outdoor storage box as his shelter. He wasn’t provided straw during this last cold spell (among many others), hasn’t known warmth in years, has never lounged in a wallow, he lacked a proper diet (and is severely overweight), and had very little interaction with his owner. He needed to be properly cared for and his owners gave up on him. Maui can’t see anymore, because he’s so obese and he has developed arthritis. His life was pretty miserable, until a neighbor stepped in to help.
This wonderful woman, Billie Jo, decided to act as Maui’s caretaker whenever he was in need. She recruited help from surrounding neighbors and friends, too. During the course of Maui’s last few years, these selfless people brought him food, straw, and tried to interact with him as much as the owners would allow.
Taking care of animals and having them as companions is a huge responsibility. After doing as much as they could, they still felt like it wasn’t enough. Billie Jo knew Maui deserved better; to live his life happily as a potbellied pig. This selfless woman, though heartbroken at the thought of saying goodbye, reached out to SASHA Farm for assistance.
Here is where Maui’s happily ever after begins. Luckily, we are able to provide him with a new chance at life. Our new resident enjoyed a warm sleep his first evening, had a good checkup with the vet, and is now ready to relax in his temporary apartment until he is able to meet his new family. Though it may take some time to adjust, we’re so honored to be able to love and care for him. We can’t wait to see what his future brings.
Welcome home, Maui! 💕
